Went for the Sunday buffett and it was an «all you can eat» affair for under £12. The lamb was good, chicken, mixed vegetables, pilaf, naan, a few other dishes I don’t recall. All in all, not bad. Fair price for this area. I would have liked a bit more spice but it’s a buffett and they’ve got to please people who don’t appreciate the heat.

Great standby for quality Indian food. This is our default if we want some curry with a large group at the last minute. This place is huge so its never a problem getting a table. The food is fantastic as well. Service can be a little slow, but sit back and relax and have another Kobra.

The service was slow and not friendly at all, I felt like they hated me. lol I know that’s a weird thing to say but that’s how I felt just not welcome. The food was not good either. I ordered the Chicken Korma and it’s not supposed to be sweet but for some reason it was. When I have ordered nan in the past it’s usually like five prices and they one give you one here not to mention I came with two other people. The Briani has no flavor, and Dal was blah too, just everything lacked flavor and when you think Indian you think lots of flavor and spice there was none of that here.

Went here last night and had a lovely time, it’s a large restaurante so good if you have a large group and it’s in a lovely area just a short walk from london bridge past tower bridge and then down a pavillion right next to the river with great views. The service was friendly and swift and the food was really tasty, and the pianist playing was really cool, The only down points I would say are the portions of rice are a bit small and the wine was really nice but the prices jump up quite dramatically! Overall would ded recommend here!

My work colleague recommended this place when looking for some where to host a team dinner. The restaurant is quite big and can accommodate large parties easily. It’s in an old dockyard warehouse so it feels almost nautical with the metal pillars. My friend thought it looked a bit like a cruise ship(in a good way). Also on the night we went a pianist was playing which added a classy touch to the meal and a nice ambience. The food was very tasty and there is a large variety of different dishes. One of my party ordered a selection of various curries and sides and everything I tasted was delicious. There’s a wide drinks selection including some nice sounding cocktails. There were a decent amount of staff who were very accommodating so we didn’t have to wait for ages to get serve or when trying to get a waiter’s attention.

Location in London is in a nice upscale area near where we stayed in the shadow of the Tower Bridge — a nice area to spend some time in. Go for a walk along the water before or after dinner. This was a pretty decent meal. I had the Mango Curry Chicken, which was enjoyable. I think she had a Marsala of sorts. Pieces of chicken were a good quality and enough to fill up. Be sure to ask for some heat if you want some spice, I would’ve preferred a bit more.

We went here around 2.00pm, on a Sunday buffet and there was a few people in there eating, so we thought ok we shall go in? So sat down, took awhile for a waiter to come over, had to flag someone down to come and take our drinks Then we went up to get our food-had chicken tikka, naan bread, popadoms to start with, then went up agian and went to have potato pakora, bombay potatoes and rice with tikka agian. but guess what– the bombay potatoes was hard hardly no taste and rice was hard and cold pakora was stone cold, so went up to him them to get more pakora out, and brought out GREASY mean greasy like onion flat bahji, as you squeeze down with your knife the grease just oused out. It left a horrible grease taste in your mouth. Could not have anymore food as felt sick So even my fiancé was not at all happy with it. The ladies toilets were clean on the tiles and nicely decorated, but the sanity box was full to the top, with stinky nappies and etc. We paid £8.75EACH as also said 12%charge on top(in you want). My truth in would I go back. wait for it??? NO!!! Put it this way best bit was NAANANDCHICKENTIKKA.

Neither good nor bad, the food at Bengal Clipper merely satisfied an Indian food craving. The dhal was runny and not particularly flavourful. The naan was pedestrian. The pilau rice didn’t inspire. The portion sizes were small. The prices were high. I’m beginning to think that Indian food in Shad Thames is hopeless. You’re better off crossing the river and heading to Tayyabs or Lahore Kebab House.

This place is in Shad Thames, which was nothing 20 – 30 years ago but is now a load of new build boxes housing swanky flats and restaurants and shops to serve the owners of said flats. And in that context, the Bengal Clipper is exactly what you would expect of the local curry house — its a massive characterless box with enough space to fit in probably a hundred business lunches, there’s a cheesy pianist playing in the corner, and the waiters and tables are dressed up in tacky pretend formal Indian stuff. Food is exactly as you would expect as well, average versions of most of the usual favourites

Tucked away on a not particluarly happening street in Shad Thames at Butlers Wharf I have to say it was awesome to finally find a place that does a real tandoori roti in London and curries that though not as low fat and good as my dad’s are the best I’ve had in this country so far. The koftas deserved a 10⁄10 for flavour, smooth melt in the mouth — ness and freshness and the service was friendly and quick. Even though the presentation isn’t fine dining style fancy the authentic rich flavours and mouthwatering menu selection certainly make it worth a meal or two. The waiters speeding in and out of the pantry at somewhat dizzying speeds may not be polished to the toe but they’re polite and always eager to make sure you’re served quickly and kindly and your palate is pleasantly satiated till you next visit.

This is a very upmarket Indian restaurant, as others have intimated, more in the style of a hotel lounge than your average curry house. The food is dependably good, if not epic, the service is efficient and courteous and the prices are cheap for the area if not for Indian restaurants. Their dahl tarka is a serious 3−4÷5, spicy, but not hot, loose enough to merge with your rice, but not watery. If I could only ever eat the dahl tarka from one place and this was it, I wouldn’t be over the moon, but I would definitely rule out suicide. It’s good, but not the sort of dahl you would sell your last grandma to organ snatchers for. You know, good in the ordinary sense, but not orgasmic. Their pilaw /pulau /pillow rice is not exciting in the least. The chicken elachi is very pleasant and bursting with cardamom. They have a buffet on Sunday lunchtimes for about £10 which is worth a trip if you’d like to check the place out and if you eat too much, you can have a post prandial stroll along the river to work it off.

I can truthfully say that this was the first time that I’ve ever been in an Indian restaurant with a piano player. It was a nice touch. Much bigger space than you’d expect from viewing it from the outside. Overall, a very comfortable experience. The food was all excellent. Varying degrees of spice and flavor left me hungering for more. My favorite was the chicken jafrezi. No gajar halva, but I’m starting to realize that my cravings for gajar halva will likely be infrequently realized.

Food was ok but the service was not very good. I felt altogether a bit rushed by the waiter, whether or not that had anything to do with me being casually dressed I’ve no idea but I don’t fancy trying it again which is a bit of a shame as it’s in a great location right next to the Design Museum.

This is an upmarket Indian restaurant in Shad Thames, it’s right on the main drag of this very gentrified bit of town. The look of the restaurant itself is a bit underwhelming — they call it ‘modern and minimal’, I’d say it’s more renovated hotel restaurant that also transforms into a space for weddings and children’s birthday parties. It’s got that slightly all purpose feel but either way they cram in a lot of tables and when it’s busy the people create an atmosphere which is all that matters I suppose. And the food, that matters too. The food is good. It really is well made, well cooked and über tasty Indian food done properly. Prices for the mains don’t fluctuate much from the £10 mark and considering they don’t undersell you on the size it’s not too bad. They have different menus too depending on the time and day and big groups can also be catered for. This is quality Indian food without too much fuss.

A great place to go when you want a fix of reasonably authentic Indian food. They do a very good Sunday buffet between 12 and 3pm. The service is always pretty good. Two people can eat here from the buffet(without drinks) for around £11 a head. During the week it’s business territory at lunchtime and strictly a la carte both then and in the evening. A la carte can be a bit pricy by comparison to the Sunday buffet(but worth it).

Excellent restaurant indien, plats très parfumés, très confortable(grandes tables suffisamment éloignées les unes des autres) à prix raisonnable(surtout à midi).
