I would move in if only they would let me take my bed… I have had to take my grandkids one at a time, That way I get to visit more times. Never fails to delight, would recommend anyone who loves ice cream to visit, but beware you will become hooked!

If Unilocal would let me leave a one word review, it would be omg! Me and a few friends decided to visit Caffe gelato after hearing so many good reports. And I can honestly say, it didn’t disappoint. The place is bright and clean but at peak times it can be a struggle to get a seat. Luckily, we didn’t have this problem as we visited quite late(they’re open until 10pm every night). The menu was large. Maybe a bit too large for a sugar addict like me! I decided to plump for the chocolate crêpe with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. You place your order at the counter. The queue wasn’t long so it wasn’t a long wait before I was served and placed my order. Once you have placed your order, your free to return to your seat as they will bring your order to your table(or stand staring at the mass of different flavour ice creams like I did!). The other people in our party had various ice cream based dishes, so their orders arrived pretty swiftly. As mine needed to be cooked, it took slightly longer but it was worth the wait. There was no shortage of chocolate sauce both inside and on top of the crêpe. The vanilla ice cream was tasty and on top was chocolate shavings and byelaw. There were also quite a few(fresh) strawberries struwn on top. I must admit, this took away some of the guilt factor as it now counted towards one of my five a day. All in all, the food was tasty, the place was clean and it is obvious why this place is so popular. Considering what you pay for desserts at other cafes/restaurants, it represents good value for money. Mine was around £4 The one problem I had was choosing what to have as the menu was so vast. But then again, it’s a good excuse to go back!
