Perfect for a Sunday Roast The selection is great with 3 different meats With all the sides trimmings mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, parsnips etcetc The menu does have other options than the Carvery but it’s what this place is popular for. Carvery is amazing ;) Average price is £9 I think

I love this place the staff is always friendly and the food is really delicious. The portions are really big and I think the prices are acceptable. It”s a great place to eat and it’s open for lunch and dinner.

One of my favourite places in area. Food is delicious and fresh every time. I like going there for dish or just to take away food for home. Nice staff, good prices and maybe most important quality is good.

I love the food and the place is quite charming. The service could be better though.

I recently visited Toby Cavery with my boyfriend on our anniversary and was really annoyed when we got there to be told we could not eat due to them stopping early cause there was not many people. And what annoyed me more is the fact the lady we spoke then said it had been only 5minutes ago. I thought can they not just bring anything out for us seen as we had especially come and their site CLEARLY stated they stop serving food for atleast another half an hour. We asked if it was possible and she simply brushed us off. So we had no choice but to leave in search for another place to spend our evening. Luckily for us we ended up having a great time at an italian resaurant nearby. Thanx Toby.

I have visited a few Toby Carvery’s and the Barnet branch is by far the worst experience we have had. Peeling wallpaper, rude staff — who made it perfectly loud and clear to the waitress who seated us that she shouldn’t have seated us there, that the table was reserved for another party and she’d have to ask us to get up, and wait for a free table! Food here was average, not as much veg selection as other Toby Carvery’s I have visited and they were very stingy with the meat. Certainly won’t be visiting this branch again!

Atmosphere great, Food great, service great, staff smiley great, price amazingly cheap. Overall this is the best carvery i have come across in years. With a fast growing mixed food culture, the carvery options appear to be left behind. Hopefully the Toby‘s will encourage other bars ect, to follow this tradition and bring it back to a wide spread availability as it used to be. If you haven’t tried Toby Carvery in Barnet yet then you are certainly missing out. Toby Calvery is one buzzy place, set in a cosy feel surrounding and seems to cater for all ages. This place is a definite must try.

Stuffing balls make a good naughty experience. At Toby Cavery, you wouldn’t think a Vegetarian would be happy. I was happy and terribly naughty at Toby, stuffing my plate with stuffing balls, swede, vegetarian gravy potatoes, and Yorkshire Puddings It is possible to exercise self control at Toby and I did the next time I came by only having a small plate, and not feeling like I was missing out. If you eat meat, I’ve been told first hand that the meat is satisfying and not fatty, but as you can imagine these details were a bit much for my delicate tofu stuffed ears. I can attest that Toby is great value for money. The atmosphere is just like a regular british pub with old fashioned bits on the walls and carpet. I’m reviewing Toby because I like their stuffing balls and vegetarian gravy and getting a whole meal for under 5 pounds. If you like carbs and are artistically struggling to make North London rent, you’ll appreciate Toby. Meat Eaters will also appreciate it but the stuffing makes it for me.

This pub has changed hands more than I care to remember over the past 8 years or so, and I think that this recent handover has been a vast improvement. The food is delicious, especially the buffet after 7pm during the week and the atmosphere is very calm now. The prices aren’t bad either. You wouldn’t realise that you’re actually sitting on one of the busiest roads in the district. More of a family pub now.

This former pub was turned into a Toby Carvery recently and it would seem many people like myself have taken the opportunity to try out their cuisine. When we arrived, we had to wait half an hour for a table. This gave us time to review the bar. The prices here were average for this part of the world and everything was clean and tidy. The food was generally above-par for a carvery which is saying something as I haven’t had a bad carvery yet! You get your usual choice of Turkey, Beef or Gammon and Vegetables. As ever, the plates can be hot, so be warned! I can’t comment on desserts, but they did look tempting. Overall then, its a near perfect score. I am sure to return for more!
