One of the best pubs I’ve ever been. It serves good dishes on average prices. Place is really nice and cosy. But don’t forget it’s best when it’s with friends.

This pub has really gone down hill! The food is over priced and they leave things off the menu and portions have been getting smaller and smaller. I order a large glass of wine and it was over five pounds. It used to be a lovely family pub but now its all about how much money the owners can get out of the punters and thats it. Have noticed fewer and fewer people are going to the pub now. Such a shame when it used to be a nice place to be. If you want horrible skinny greasy colc«homemade» chips come to this place!

The Cavalier seemed to have undergone a big face lift and became more of an upscale joint instead of the loud TVs and football. The décor is right up my street with the sofas and comfy seating scattered throughout the bar. The ales are London Pride and Black Sheep and there are also a selection of the usual beers on tap. You can also get some pretty good wines here too. This is a tasteful pub which I hear has good food too(have not tried their dinners yet). If you have not been to the Cavalier for a while. give it another try, it will look like a new pub.

We came here in the summer with my parents for lunch to celebrate my dad’s birthday and had a lovely time. The guy serving us was incredibly friendly and helpful(so we tipped him heavily) and the food was good. Not spectacular but definitely good.
