Horrible horrible food. The seaweed in miso soup tasted like gum. The teriyaki bento box was extremely salty and no teriyaki flavor. The chicken and beef were too hard to bite. There were barely seafood in seafood fried rice. Everything tasted same, just soy sauce flavor and salty. I only ate one bite and left everything. Waiters were rude as well. I would give it no star.

Really good sushi just a short walk from the beach. The roll with plantains was by far my favorite, so get that.

Though I was dubious about stopping into a Chinese restaurant in Puerto Rico for lunch, my initial fears were quickly overcome. The interior décor, though nothing special, was pleasant, nicely set up, orderly and clean, which isn’t the usual situation with so many Chinese restaurant. My waiter was well dressed, mannerly, attentive and spoke reasonably good English. I ordered the shrimp with garlic and side of rice. When it arrived I was rather taken back by the size of the shrimp, which in most super markets would be classified as jumbo in size and there were plenty of them included in my dish. Also, the included vegetables had a firm fresh crunchy crispness about them and the garlic sauce turned out to be one of the best I’ve experienced in any Chinese restaurant. As the food was so very good, I couldn’t help but wonder why there weren’t more customers, as beside my dinning partner there were only four other people eating at the time. However, when I returned in the evening, the place was totally packed. On that point all I can say is that if you stop by Tayzan and don’t see anyone else eating there, don’t let that deter you as the food is really very good and, in the evening hours, very popular.

A great lunch for a great price but coming from Los Angeles with chinatown I can get kind of picky try the special chicken and white sauce with vegetables comes with rice less than $ 10 it was pretty good. Also try the garlic shrimp which comes with fried rice and the shrimp are big.

Came in one night for some late eats, literally at 3 in the morning. Did I really wanna eat Chinese/sushi during my stay in PR? Hmmm sure why not, and it was close to our hotel. The place was hopping on a Sat night so I thought it must be good or maybe just some drunk people with late night cravings. So we thought let’s give it a shot. Restaurant is spacious and clean inside with outdoor seating as well. We opted for outdoor to enjoy the nice weather. The menu is pretty extensive with Chinese, sushi and some Puerto Rican/Latin dishes. We chose crab rangoons as an app and were pleasantly surprised they had imitation crab inside. The crab rangoons I’m used to just have cream cheese. That was good. For entrees we decided to try a bit of everything except sushi. The stir fried udon churrasco on the menu caught my attention, it was a must try. Also got the house fried rice and skirt steak with mofongo. The udon churrasco was delicious. The fried rice and skirt steak were great too. The Mofongo was just ok though but overall nice meal and we enjoyed all the dishes. Great restaurant for late night food and atmosphere.

Coming from a Chinese family this place isn’t bad! Their sushi isn’t top quality, but they have lots of options and it tasted good! Their pan fried udon noodles were also really good. Their portions were huge. They also added too much msg, you could taste all of it.

Good sushi and fast service. The Chinese food on the other hand was pretty bland. The curry chicken had almost no flavor and the teriyaki chicken was standard. The fried rice was pretty good though.

This place is what my mom would call ‘perfectly good food’. Nothing special. Service was average and my pork was cold when it got here. My son’s plate came out 10 minutes late with no explanation/apology. Not sushi. Rolls. Not sushi. Totally average. Was recommended by a friend and now she’s dead to me.

Food is good and the portion is very big. Their service is on point, we went there on NYE which was very busy, but our food was served after a short waiting. Highly recommend this place!

Well I come from Seattle. Very disappointed with this taste of Chinese. First we ordered sake and sangria. Sangria was not that great. Sake was better. Then we ordered egg rolls and chicken dumplings. They tasted very plain. We didn’t expect our dinner very huge which waiter should have warned us to order one for sharing. We ordered Mongolian chicken and garlic chicken. Mongolian was not that bad. Garlic chicken was not pleasant. We also had fried egg rice which it was terrible. Those cookers should go to Seattle and learn better with the recipes and COSTS! Those food were expensive compared to Seattle. Sorry.

All in all this place was pretty good. I agree with a lot of other comments: their sushi is not good. It gets maybe two stars. Their stir-fry udon on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic. It’s the only thing I’ve tried on the menu here, but it’s a winner.

To my surprise, solid sushi in Puerto Rico. They have a long menu with many authentic sushi options and some hybrid options that combine the local Puerto Rico food favorites with Japanese and Chinese food. Had the salmon and avocado, tuna and avocado, and two of their specialty rolls. Sorry, the specialty roll names escape me. Fresh fish, decent size rolls, and good tasting all around. Their mixed drinks are whatever, but I didn’t have high hopes to start. Oh oh and this place has the boat. Too bad I did not know this until after we placed our order. Would have gone with the boat for sure.

On a five day trip, we visited this restaurant multiple times, but there are so many things to try, and we were really enjoying ourselves. The service is really friendly, and you can select indoor or outdoor seating. There are televisions so that you can catch games, and usually there is also some music playing. There is definitely some Asian Fusion going on, and then there are some more traditional dishes. We had the Singapore Noodles with shrimp, the seaweed salad with crab, shrimp, and avocado, the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, general Tso’s chicken, shrimp al ajillo, stir-fried udon noodles with shrimp and churrasco, and mofongo with churrasco and chimichurri sauce. Everything was good. The shrimp were large, the portions were generous, and the sauces were flavorful. Super convenient to our hotel, so we walked. My favorite is the stir-fried udon with churrasco. The steak is perfectly cooked to order, the noodles soak up all that grilled flavor, and mushrooms balance out the sauce. The veggies are still crunchy. See pics.

This placed was not all that great. The sushi was average. The seaweed salad was OK. The orange chicken wasn’t bad, but I didn’t love it. I tasted the sizzling beef platter and it was boring and watery. Overall not too great, plus it wasn’t cheap.

This place was very expensive and really not that great — despite the great reviews. The sushi was average, the seaweed salad was stringy and the hot dishes were boring. On the plus, the drinks were very cold and they give you a frosty cold glass if you ask for one.

A bit strange to visit PR& first restaurant to visit is Asian; but it was near hotel, open late & kids familiar with Asian menu! Kids got their Fav asian dishes & I got my first mofongo w/chicken – and their skirt steak was great… mofongo well not the best, but manageable. Can’t expect great mofongo from an Asian restaurant. However for our party of 10, the service and food hit the spot– a good welcome to the island after a day of traveling. Besides, the next day, the kids went there again!

Technically, I should downgrade to 2 stars. Last time we were there, they refused to split the check for us. We consumed a lot of money worth of drinks and food. No one of our group was classless or impolite. Good service should be consistent, whether it’s a $ 8 check or a $ 200 check, of course; but when you consume a lot, the bad impression doubles automatically. The fact that they denied something as simple indirectly sends the message«We’re in a touristy area. We will make money anyway.» I thought it was a poor attitude. The only reason I won’t downgrade it to 2 stars is because the food is good, but I don’t think this’ll be a first or second choice for me anymore.
