American dive bar in PR. The Sierra Nevada torpedo ipa is seriously fresh! Less than one month old.

We have been here many times while cruising. They have the best margaritas ever. Luis was our waiter today and was excellent. I only wish our 2 sons were here with us as this is their favorite bar Bob and Deb w

Older divey bar perfect for a pit stop along your route to other nightlife options. The two times I was here it wasn’t terribly busy and there was just one bartender behind the bar. The service was slower but I’m not going to dock for that since service in PR is generally slower.

Robbed in old San Juan — by a bar tender!!! It really was daylight robbery. The bar itself was welcoming, great location — bar tender seemed very nice. we thought it looked great! Four of us were on a cruise, but one wasn’t drinking alcohol — and yes, we looked like tourists, but was there any reason to rip us off like that? We ordered three Medalla light beers(local beer) — that’s one beer each(just making sure I get the story straight). Medalla lights are advertised all over old San Juan for 2 for $ 5, sometimes even 3 for $ 5 at the bars there. Here we didn’t ask the price, figured it would be in that region — when we asked the bar tender how much(after we had our beer, when we were ready to leave) he looked at us, hesitated, took literally 10 seconds before he answered(he was obviously sizing us up and deciding whether to charge us the normal price or the 3xyouarestupidtourists price) and then said $ 15. FIFTEENDOLLARS!!! FORTHREEBEERS!!! FIVEDOLLARSEACH??? AREYOUKIDDINGME? Do NOT go there. You could tell that he was sizing us up before he answered… ah, rich tourists, I’ll really sock it to them!!! NONO’S IS A NO-NO. After we left there, we went somewhere else and had more beer, at 2 for $ 5 plus dinner, which is what it should be. Shame on Nono’s.

Not the friendliest bar, but if I wanted to make friends I would join a ‘make friends club’. The beer is cold, the music is cool and the atmosphere is pleasant… I dont understand the bad reviews?

Good place to grab a good drink, play pool and listen to good hiphop music on a Sunday night in Old San Juan Puerto Rico. The bartender was good. Just make sure if you will be playing pool, have your ID or drivers license on you, I felt uneasy with them holding my passport.

Great classic dive bar for visitors and locals, I came here multiple times just start my night right. They have a great mix of music in all different genres from Spanish rock to classic hip hop. And the drinks are very cheap as well. Nono’a is also surrounded by other lounges, clubs, and specialty bars making this a great hot spot for me in Old San Juan

At the corner of Calle San Sebastian y Calle Cristo. David Jones of «El Batey» had a piece if this back in the 60’s when it was called«La Botella». So I have been told.

Yummy Pizza & Chocolate Churro’s. Apparently the same company Nono’s owns the two restaurants to the left of the bar. So we ended up two doors down eating pizza! It was so yummy and really hit the spot while in Old San Juan. The large easily feed 3 adults &3 kids.

This is the best dive bar in old San Juan. From the carved up wooden bar to the cheap quality drinks it’s perfect.

We were at Nono’s on a Monday evening after a huge San Juan festival that took place in January. Still, there were TV’s on(Lakers were playing, and I am from LA so that was a plus), and there was music playing and people hanging at the bar and tables. The mojitos were good and strong and got me buzzed by number 2 – 3. The bartender wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem to like tourists, but then he seemed to warm up to us. However, he could make the experience better by not coming off rude and unwelcoming. The location is awesome as most bars in OSJ are. We found parking right on the street in front of the bar without a problem that night. The place felt clean and so were the bathrooms.

My friends and I had a great time here on a Wednesday night while visiting PR. We enjoyed great prices for Peroni beer and met cool locals while watching NBA. Our bartender Melvin provided badass music and service!

Ugggh! This bar has a prime location, interesting feel, plenty of neon, and about 1,000 bottles of alcohol on display. That is the good part. Otherwise, the bartender is unfriendly. He seems to have a group of loyal locals that frequent the place. He talks to them while ignoring tourists. I asked if there were any house specialties. The reply, «not really anything special here.» When I got my drink, it was slapped down quickly, some of it spilling on the bar, noticed, but no new napkin or clean up. This is a two-mix cocktail place with plastic cups and bad service. There are lots of options that are much better than this nearby.

I can’t even remember what I had here. My two best friends and I went to Puerto Rico back in 2007. We visited family and friends and of course had to go sight seeing as I hadn’t been there since I was little. We were on scooters, you know the little mopeds you rent in Isla Verde. Well we saw this place and were extremely thirsty, so we decided to come in and have a drink. The bartender was super cool and his wife apparently owned the restaurant and it was amazing. This morning I woke up craving their rice and beans and to stones but I still can’t remember why we had exactly. So I give it a 5. Perfect stop before hitting the Morro Castle which is also a must A+ to see.

The service is second to none. We had the best bartender I’ve literally ever had. He was fast, funny, friendly and made it a pleasure to be there. Also, the location is great and the open air siting at the bar is a real treat. Food was great and reasonable priced! Highly recomend if you’re in need of a cold one after touring El Morro or walking around Old San Juan.

I actually fell in love with this place, along with my fiancé. My brother was taking us bar hopping and this ended up as our last stop. Why? Because we didn’t want to leave! Be prepared to walk up two flights of narrow steps. I do not know how the Puerto Rican women do it in those heels. It was a gorgeous night and all the doors were open allowing for a breeze. We played a few rounds of pool; I want to say it was $ 1 per game. Drinks were delicious. I have no idea what we had though. I told the bartender what I liked and he whipped up something not only tasty, but strong! We were also lucky enough to try some of the bartender’s homemade stuff since my brother knew him. The music playing was my favorite; EDM and house music.

Heard great things but we had the bad luck to arrive at the same time as the entire San Juan freshman HS class of 2016. The 80’s Metal was nice. We bailed really quickly with the rest of the people of legal age to vote.

It’s part of Nono’s, it’s a dive and we came on a Sunday night so it wasn’t the most happening spot BUT we had an awesome time nonetheless. Drinks are cheap(we’re talking $ 5 for a rum and coke cheap), they do take credit card, and the atmosphere is chill. Weird mix of music(everything from heavy rock to 2000’s pop music) but for what we wanted it was fine.

Whenever I am fortunate enough to travel to San Juan, I stop here. I wouldn’t call this a «dive bar» just because it is so open and airy… and pretty clean. I’d go with«quaint». They always have the doors open and because it seems to be at about the highest point in Old San Juan, there is always a lovely tropical breeze blowing through. TV’s on ESPN. Beer is ICE cold. Bartenders are nice(save this trip when the guy turned out to be a Pittsburgh Steelers/NY Yankees fan; THEY’REEVERYWHERE. Go Ravens!, Go O’s!) and Nono’s just has a perfect vibe. Not pretentious. Just simple and cool and a nice place to hang out.
