Great Mexican food. One of my best meals in Puerto Rico!!! The place is tiny and with only 6 seats it’s really geared for carry out. The best part was the food… simply incredible.

Very good wet burrito! Flavorful meat and sauces, nice presentation. Not a lot of Mexican options in Isla Verde(except horrible Lupis) so this is a welcome addition to the area.

Really great little Mexican café with terrific burritos. Great food, great service. Highly recommend the Doble Burrito with Steak and Pork.

I noticed a couple of Taco Rico’s on Unilocal… not sure if they are all related. I went to this particular one(full name was Nachos Burros Taco Rico). If you’re not paying attention you could walk by it… and you don’t want to do that. I’ve had plenty a burrito from coast to coast and in the southwest and Texas, and I can honestly say one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Small little place with a tremendous menu, service and unique flavor. Good quality meats and ingredients. .and the arrangement of seasoning is fantastic. I grabbed a burrito to go the first time. When I went back a second time I had to ask if the steak was marinated because it tasted so good, it is not… just quality meat and a nice balance of seasoning. I had never seen a burrito in which the tortilla was lightly seasoned as well, and it was great. I highly recommend this place. Very friendly as well. Don’t be fooled by it’s appearance best place for Mexican food(with a touch of PR) in San Juan. Only regret is trying the other places first. Open late as well(3am) so if you’re coming home from the bars… do yourself a favor and stop in.

The service and food were both excellent! The portions were a tad small for my boyfriend, but just right for me. Standard Mexican choices, but from the pictures they have a VERY long burrito specialty.

Has your standard Mexican food with a Puerto Rican twist. Burritos, quesadillas, nachos, etc. Really welcome and unique addition to the isla verde area. The owner/chef is really nice and accommodating, every time we’ve stopped by he’s been really great. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially as late night eats.
