Gorgeous food with great service. You have to have the 10 course tasting menu, however they are good at adapting dishes to take dietary requests into account. Each dish was beautifully presented, imaginative and tasted great. The highlight was the foie gras ice cream, something that I wasn’t convinced I’d like but was won over by. The ice cream was very creamy with only a subtle hint of the foie gras, and went well with the earthy crumble. Although the dishes were small, with 10 courses I wouldn’t have wanted anything larger! The menu was also very reasonably priced(around 50 euros), so I’d definitely make a booking next time I’m in Lisbon.

We booked this restaurant because we read so many raving reviews about this restaurant. Right now it has 4.5÷5 stars out of 26 reviews. There’s only one menu, you can’t eat à la carte. We took the menu with wine pairing. We were a group of 6 and were seated at a very small round table, not comfortable. We had to switch positions to fit the taller people. It was very hot in there, some of us went outside for a while to get some fresh air. The starters were hardly starters, they were amuses. I wouldn’t call it a dish if it can fit on one spoon! They were interesting at most(see the photos for details). The main courses(fish and meat) were very good, but once again very small. The meat dish was entrecôte. I asked the waiter what kind of beef it was, but he didn’t now. So they called the chef. I asked him again what beef we received, «is it Charolais, Simmenthal, Rubia Gallega, … ?» and he said«just regular cow»! Very bad marks in my book. The desserts were good as well(not everybody liked the foie gras ice cream, but I did), and these were finally acceptably sized. The wine pairing then … They were presented very convincingly, but I wasn’t convinced at all after tasting them. In the end we were more disappointed than satisfied. It was just too expensive for what we got. In stead of investing in pretentious food, they’d better give us a bit more of it. 2.5÷5 Stars.

a stunning experience yesterday at this restaurant! The menu was of top quality: dry chips of bacalao, foie gras ice cream — a succession of surprises and pleasure assorted with perfect wine! For this level of restaurant, the space is a bit small but the atmosphere was great and not too noisy when we were there.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation at the restaurant, which only does the tasting menu. If you are looking for the a la carte menu, be sure to book a reservation at the bistro. Located on a side street, the restaurant has a very small and simple exterior that opens up to approximately 12 tables which they seem to only turn once in a night. The dishes were all excellent and wine pairings all perfect. They offer a classic and premium pairing, but the classic wines were great. The first portions were relatively small, but the main courses were the perfect size. Both the fish and the steak were cooked perfectly. Overall, it was an excellent tasting menu at an affordable price and the service was great.

As a person who generally survives on burgers and pizza, this was a very unique experience. We did the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was very well executed. I’ll admit some things were a little too refined for my palate(i.e. the foie gras gelato) however this was easily the coolest restaurant I went to in Lisbon. You’ll definitely need a reservation, we went on a Sunday night and saw several attempted walk-in patrons turned away. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable, he gave the back story on every glass of wine he poured(which was A LOT). It’s probably a good idea to walk or hire a car as the streets are accessible to area residents only and you’ll likely be tipsy by the end of the meal. The atmosphere and ambience were wonderful as this is a fairly small restaurant, perfect for a date or small group. The highlights of the meal were the dehydrated cod chips, the blue nose grouper with ‘migas’ and the«treasure island» dessert. Also, the palate cleansing shot(vodka/strawberry purée/mint caviar) was excellent. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for a unique upscale dining experience this is the place to go.

Went for the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing as recommended by the good people on Unilocal. We were very pleased with our meal, but not blown away. Coming from a city of amazing high end, creative food like NYC, 100 Maneiras delivered but did not overachieve. Some of the courses like the dehydrated cod fish chips were great. Great take on a Portuguese staple & served in a really fun way. Other courses like the medley of roasted baby vegetables were a bit lost on me. One thing that really stood out was the pairing of wine. From the vinho verde to start to the spicier red wine to the perfect port, each wine was perfectly paired with the notes of each dish. Would I return? Yes, if the tasting course changes. All in all, a very good meal but comparing to NYC, I can think of 5 tasting menus very quickly off the top of my head that would easily beat it out.

I splurged on a night here during my visit to Lisbon and it was IN-SANE. All the staff was wonderfully friendly and knowledgable, and every dish was not only extremely inventive but incredibly tasty, too. I won’t bother with recommendations, because you don’t get to choose, but dinner here was unforgettable. And unlike a lot of places that serve chef’s menus, there was a perfect amount of food offered. I left utterly satisfied, but not uncomfortably stuffed. I suggest the wine pairing, a great variety of Portuguese vinhos, but know you’ll leave the place tipsy! Pricing is beyond reasonable for what you get and my experience was all around 5-star. Just be sure when you go, you’re at the Restaurant and not the Bistro, but if you trip up, like I did, it’s only a few minutes walk from one to the other.

I called to reserve a table on a Sunday and the guy took all my info and told me to come after 10:30 because they don’t have anything before that. I showed up at the door at 11 and the restaurant was closes. Yes, closed. I called and another man answered me and told me the kitchen closes at 11. You can imagine how furious and disgusted I feel, not having a place to eat at on a Sunday night. I have never thought anyone would do such a cheap, degrading gesture just to pull your legs and for what? It wasn’t even open. I was tempted by the reviews here but now I want to sue this s***hole. I want to pee at their door, those disgusting, low pigs.

A friend recommended me to come here for the 10 course tasting menu and it was really good. My friend loved it and she paid ridiculous amount of tips. I enjoyed the meal too and it was def one of the best meals i have ever had. Excellent presentation and superb taste. My friend doesn’t eat red meat so they replaced the lamb and pork belly with scallop and sea bass. I kind of wish i would have taken the same as hers. Her scallop tasted really good. Pork belly was a bit dried if i have to criticize.

Fantastic 10 course tasting menu with excellent service. Reservations are essential but we were able to set it up on the day of our meal which happened to be a Friday. Foods included amazing presentations of crispy cod, foie gras, oyster, mackerel, pork, and lamb. Deserts included a cheesecake followed with an ice cream. Each dish included a very creative presentation pleasing to the eye as much as to the taste(see pictures). Only thing that was not worth it was the wine pairing. We asked for a decent bottle of wine to go with the meal but the somm just could not do it. He insisted we do the pairing. The wine was good but it was too much. By the end it blurred our taste buds too much. In the end we should have just gotten our bottle and enjoyed it without overdoing it. Bottom line, amazing dishes using local and traditional ingredients. Worth a stop if you are looking for an amazing meal.

Sometimes a restaurant gets 5 stars for mostly its food. And sometimes it’s a lot more. I was in the mood for something modern and urban, after having sampled mostly traditional Portuguese fare for the previous 4 days. The hotel concierge recommended this place. Wow, he was spot on! Ambience is intimate but hopping. The servers hustled. I like that. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. The sommelier was knowledgeable and very helpful. He steered me right with the wine. Super. Just one complaint, the first course came out well before I finished my cocktail. Subsequent courses were paced much better. I started with a cocktail of their own creation. It was yummy. The first course was the asparagus and mushroom salad with a poached egg. They bring it to you in a squat mason jar with the egg on top and the server stirs it for you table side. The salad is not so much a salad as it is vegetable heaven. The Portuguese definitely know how to step up their vegetables. There were two kinds of asparagus, both perfectly cooked al dente. The mushrooms added depth and richness and the egg, which melted into everything, added even more richness. Wow. The second course was stunning. Baby suckling pig with crackly skin and a potato galette, which was quite French, except it had herbs on top, and wasn’t as heavy. A beautiful sauce swirled around the plate, and a green herb-infused oil too. I dipped every bite. Wow and the pig was crazy tender. Dessert was the Yugoslav apple pie. Its shape reminded me of a chorizo sausage.(hmm, deliberate?) Cinnamon ice cream in the middle. Not bad, but not world-beating. I did finish it! This is bistro food at its best. Seemingly simple fare and not fussy on the plate, but the flavors just were amazing.

Fine dinning and fine food in a very friendly environment Creative ideas and food fused in a wonderful way. As they like to say in the restaurant each plate describes a different region of Portugal. Although i was not amazed at all from the starter — found it too complicated for my taste buds — the rest of the plates were brilliant To top everything up they have a very informed wine list mostly from Portuguese wines. But since you are in Portugal what the heck drink local wine … Its amazing PS: All stuff are English speakers

Shall I list the 100 things I like about this place?! Ok let’s give it a shot and hope I don’t run out of characters! 1. Cute, cozy, white table place perfect to take that special someone 2. Although I think sea urchin is vile and tastes like rotten bike tires, they were able to put a little in my dish without my minding 3. Cute stories behind the actually dishes like the dried cod dangling on clothes hangers with the super yummy dipping sauces 4. Garlic bread garlic bread garlic bread! I completely ignored all other forms of bread in our little white bag when I found these yummy yeast treasures 5. I enjoy small portions so I can try more things 6. Two desserts?! OK! 7. Super nice and attentive wait service 8 – 100. Ok, you didn’t really think I was going to go to 100 did you? All the more I can say is that for a large sum of money, you can have interesting food here and good wine. If you don’t like paying a lot for creativity, you won’t like this place. For me, it’s a one-time place. Great to try, but next restaurant I will eat in Lisbon, will be a nice alley whole in the wall with some salted cod and shrimp!

Fantastic dinner! We were going to go to the restaurant 100 Maneiras, but since they were fully booked, some nice guy who works there called and booked a table for us at the bistro. Not disappointed. The staff was really friendly and helpful with recommendations both for food and wine. I had the entrecôte, which was amazing, and so was the fish of the day which my friend had. For dessert we had a great crème brûlée, and not least the cheese foam with guava sorbet which just blew our minds.

The restaurant is a great place to have a romantic 10 course dinner. The service is very obliging. The sommelier should receive a star. In addition, also vegetarian are welcome. I’m vegetarian and they just modified my boyfriends 10 course meal for me to one of the best menus I’ve ever had. Book ahead and enjoy!

A peaceful street of the otherwise buzzing Barrio Alto and then you enter a small restaurant with a modern minimalist design and start your journey into Portugal gastro food. There is one tasting menu of 10 plates original, creative and refined(forget boiled potatoes and grilles fish). Cod, sardines, scallop, salmon. the best of all was the suckling pig a delicacy ! The staff is efficient and the sommelier made us taste terrific portuguese wine. Efficient staff very helpful and they go out the way to please with no hidden overcharge. Very well priced and a fabulous experience. opened only for dinner everyday.
