U Bowl

There are moments in life when all of a sudden you suddenly feel like you want to do something so badly. And that something for me is bowling.
I don’t know why this bowling fever got to me, but maybe it’s because of me seeing my friends play bowling during an outing to 1U last week and I couldn’t because I was wearing a thigh high slit skirt! Oh the agony of watching others play and not being able to play!
Hearing the bowling pins, seeing the smirking faces and cheers when someone strikes… Ooh, how I yearn to play!
That aside, I can’t wait to come back to U-​Bowl to play a game or 2. Being one of the most popular bowling alleys in Bandar Utama, U-​Bowl is almost always crowded. But there shouldn’t be any problem getting a lane if you just hang around there for a bit. Fun fact, there are 36 lanes so no worries!

Bowling alleys are like eating packets of popcorn; sure, the first few bites are definitely the best, but after that, you’ll feel that it just way too much, and you just want to cry and sleep.
That is my weak analogy to U Bowling.
I do not like this place, simply because it is unkempt and is as dirty as Donald Trump. The bowling balls are usually dirty, and the lanes are pretty much as dry as your boyfriend’s jokes, so it is definitely not the place to go if you ever want to waste your time and throw a heavy ball to attempt to hit pins like what you would do when you are just kids.
I kid, I kid. I am not a good bowler myself, but that does not mean I do not have what it takes to just make bowling, and U Bowling, sound as bad as your foul mouthed aunt, now can’t I?

Sometimes when I get really really really really bored and need to go out and don’t know what to do, bowling is always the last choice for me but when I start, I can’t stop.
This spot is on the same floor at GSC movie theatres in One Utama New Wing, and I do find my self there from time to time. I always see uniformed teams playing here and sometimes I wonder whether they are part of the national team or just created their own teams and play it as a hobby. This alley seems pretty huge, they have about over 30 lanes if I’m not mistaken. There’s a food area for people to eat and buy drinks and it’s pretty convenient if you’re just stopping by the mall for bowling because the alley leads right out to the parking so you can easily access this place. It is also connected to an arcade for video games and what not.

Its been a long time since I’ve been here. Though I pass by this place dozens of time and watch people bowl, I never thought I would be bowling with my friends here again after my last visit when I was representing my University. Last time, what I didn’t like about this bowling alley was the lanes as the oil on the lane were not scattered evenly.
Thus, when you throw a curve ball, the inconsistency of hitting a strike is lower. But after today, I have to say, the lanes now arw better, the house balls used by my friends are in better condition compared to last time. Everything was smooth sailing until towards the end of the game where the ball got stuck and we had to call for assistance. For them to actually fix the problem have taken about 15 minutes of our time.
Though the lanes and bowling equipment are in better shape, the service too needs to buck up to give a 5 star bowling alley rating in the neighbourhood!

I have been passing by this place every time when I go for movies at this mall. Feeling curious all the time when I pass by this place, as it has been awhile since I last had a bowling session (more than 10 years?!). It was not until recently while accompanying my partner and her friends for a bowling session here right after work. I must say it was truly a nostalgic moment (having memories a decade back). It really just made me realise that time really do flies.
This is a great place to bowl actually, it is constantly packed with visitors even during week nights. One thing that I like about this place is that, they are quite hygienic in terms of shoe rentals as they insists on getting a new pair of socks (for those without socks) in order to rent their bowling shoes. They even have a bowling equipment store that is located right here as well which is convenient to avid bowlers.
Other than that, they have quite a number of bowling lanes, however it is still quite hard to get a lane during the weekends. If you’re feeling stress, bogged down with work pressure, just drop by this place for a bowling session and you will thank yourself for it.
