When I was assigned the job to find something give our visiting VIPS the next day as a token of appreciation at work, I spent the whole day going around OU looking for the most ‘appropriate’ gift for our male VIPS. I guess it’s a lot easy for girls cause you can ‘shower’ them with shower gels or hand lotion and be done with it but for men? Eh…
So when I decided that perhaps it was better if I visited another mall, I realized my answer was literally one of the first stores I had encountered as I entered One Utama. Placed right by the escalator ascending towards the new wing’s centre court from the carpark, is the answer to all those problems you’ve ever had when you were trying to find that perfect gift for your guy friend. My Tie Shop has a huge range of ties (and bowties!) you can choose from. There are the inexpensive ones along with of course the pricier ones but you really can’t go wrong with any tie in here. They also offer box sets that come with a pair of cuff links and matching pocket handkerchief as well for about RM70(?) which is super darn cheap for me! (especially if you’re on a budget: p) The staff are very friendly people too and I guess they are used to many indecisive people so they help you out patiently by giving you suggestions and asking you a lot of questions to help you choose the perfect tie.
The ties are also packed nicely after in a box so you never have to worry about wrapping too!

My Tie Shop at One Utama is located at the Lower Ground (New Wing) same row as Bread Story. If you are coming down from the escalator from Padini Concept Store, the shop is on your right.
My Tie Shop offers varieties of ties. You can find tie of different qualities, colours, and designs that suits different occasions and age group. They have the single-​coloured or formal ties for corporate, and also the more playful ones if you are using it for party or casual purposes. Apart from ties, they have cufflink, bow tie, tie clips, and ready-​to-​wear tie and bow tie for kids.
The price at My Tie Shop varies, but you are still able to get the simple ones for as low as RM20. My Tie Shop is definitely the place to be for a hassle-​free shopping for guy.

My Tie Shop is the place you go to when you needed a tie. They carries a huge varieties of ties. Ties with different thickness, colors, materials, types (tie with cartoon character on it, bow tie, ready-​to-​wear tie for kids and so on). Besides tie, they also carries accessories like cuff links, tie clips and many more.
Whenever my other half needed a special or specific color of tie for some special event, he will come here to get them. The reason he like coming here is because the tie here is very affordable (especially when you only need to wear it once).
This is also one of the best place to get a bunch of same color tie with affordable prices for events such as wedding day (where groomsmen have to wear a specific color of tie).
Looking for a place with wide variety of ties to choose from, this is the place to be!

The shop name says it all. This is the best place if you’re in a rush to get a tie for your next important presentation. Ties here cost RM20 and above depending on how fancy you want your tie to be.
This place is also mostly the default gift shop for girls who do not know what to get for their guy friends. They too are the place for grooms to get a bunch of matching ties for their groomsmen.

I never knew this place existed until my boyfriend needed a tie. As the name suggests, this shop caters for ties of all sorts from silk, cotton, polyester, micro fibers, wool, and cashmere, from a wide range of colors. They have different types from corporate to fancy to children’s ties, and also zipper ties. Besides that, they also sell accessories such as cuff-​links, bow ties, handkerchiefs, cravats, suspenders, and even women’s scarf!
I am not too sure bout the rest but my boyfriend managed to get a simple basic maroon tie for only RM20.
