Sam’s Deli @ The Curve

Sam’s Deli is a place that is impossible not to love, especially when you are on a strict budget. Here is the one place that has it all; from pasta to sushi to mamak curry rice and desserts — all at a cheap price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so don’t expect the food here to be on par with what you get at your specialty favourite restaurants.
That said, the food is really not too bad, considering the substantial portion you get for a lower than average price. Some of the food, however, is really not worth it. Their fries may look appetising behind counter, and they will heat it up for you upon ordering. Even so, I have had their fries a few times and it’s always hard and tasteless that it feels as if it’s been cooked since the morning and no longer fresh.
On the other hand, their cappuccino exceeds expectation, and they have Haagen-​Dazs ice cream, sold by the scoop. You can also get a lot of snacks and munchies here. I often think how wonderful it would be if only we have a Sam’s Deli at each highway rest stops.
Overall, their all-​in-​one-​convenient place concept is an interesting one. If only they pay a little bit more attention to refining the quality and freshness of their food.
