We only ate here for drinks and dessert, but it was very enjoyable. Oniga was very busy each night we would walk by on our strolls through Campo San Barnaba in the Dorsoduro area of Venice. We really enjoyed this area of Venice as it was more local feeling with fewer tourists(like us!). The staff were very friendly, and the Tiramisu and Crème Caramel were excellent. There are many choices for meals in Venice; choose to go to where the locals go and get away from the touristy areas.

Recommended by a local, this was our favorite meal this time in Italy! Oniga is a super cute and cozy restaurant hidden away in the maze of Venice. Inside were many other Italians so that was a good sign immediately. The bufala caprese salad was fantastic with a little spoon of fresh pesto that was divine. Next we had pasta dishes. The gnocchi was big and the texture fluffy and magical. The spaghetti con le vongole had more clams than pasta in a brilliant butter sauce!!! All of this woven together with house prosecco that was light and perfect. We are still dreaming of this meal and definitely recommend this place as an escape from the busy tourism madness of Venice!
