Learned about this restaurant because we took a cooking class here as part of Tuscan Women Cook. The cheesy pasta made in the pecorino wheel was my favorite. Seems everyone here on Unilocal agrees. I also loved their crostini/bruschetta toasts with toppings like porcini mushroom, artichoke and diced tomatoes. Family run business with dad and son out front and mama in the back cooking. We liked it so much we returned for lunch after our cooking school week was over and had a dish with gnocchi, zucca(pumpkin? I think) and sausage. Delicious. Absolutely lovely. It’s small and cozy inside and they have garden seating outside if the weather permits.

Hands down the best, most authentic, and most romantic meal of our trip. The man who served us(who we assume was the owner) made the most incredible recommendations for food and wine. The service was fantastic. Their specialty is fresh pasta which is then stirred in a giant cheese wheel and topped with white pepper. The boar stew was also so incredibly good. We loved our experience, and debating going back the second night in Tuscany. Wherever you’re staying the area, this is worth the trip.

Located just inside the gate of medieval Monefollonico, this restaurant is a wonderful find. Don’t miss out on the pasta stirred in a large pecorino cheese wheel(super yum)! Nice veggie options, great presentation, very pleasant house red wine, and super friendly service make this an excellent choice.
