The food was great but I think no one really cares about the food when they see that put standing view. It’s breath taking. Very friendly staff.

Give this place a miss. 5 diners for dinner, one good meal, one acceptable 2OK, one lousy. Not good! Good, gnocchi, one acceptable rabbit, OK lamb and v salty beef cheek, lousy sausage and beans. Just not hitting the mark

Great food, even better staff! This is a must go to restaurant if your staying in Montepulciano! Ask for Oliver or Francesco, so amazing! Both waiters were so friendly, recommended three great wine tastings and had a few drinks with us with no charge for the 2 rounds! And the walls are all full of Wine bottles to choose from! Best place is Tuscany And try the Grilled cheese with honey and walnuts app!

After spending a week in Florence and Venice we had started to grow tired to pizza and pasta and thought that Montepulciano would be just more of the same. We booked this restaurant while walking around as they had advertised a Panoramic terrace… Wow! What a view! You’ll have to book at least 1 day in advance to get prime seating on their terrace. As for the food, it was definitely not more of the same. For starters we had the gundis with marscapone and the truffle linguini. Out of this world! So much flavour in both, they definitely didn’t skimp out on the truffle. We then proceeded with the tagliata with black truffles. Meat was very tender and topped with an abundance of truffle shavings but surprisingly the truffles didn’t a have that thought out divine fragrance you’d expect. Maybe it was just the truffle type? Overall, an awesome experience to have such good food while watching the sun set on the beautiful wine valley!

We were there yesterday and it was Phenomenal. The food was simply delicious, made by the wife of the owner. My Grandmother is Italian/French and is very particular about going to italian restaurants. Most, in her opinion are geared toward the tourists and therefore the quality is poor. But not here. We stayed for three hours starting with the Fagioli alla Ucceletto, followed by a handmade parpadelle with truffles. There was complete silence during the pasta course, we were all enjoying the warm buttery pasta and had no desire to speak. Then came the lamb, juicy and flavorful. The wines there are for those who truly enjoy finer wines. We indulged in a Brunello from a local producer that was so spectacular we bought a case and had it shipped back to the US. I am very particular about Italian food as well and picked restaurants very carefully for our trip this year, some that came with great reviews were ok, not great. This place was recommended by a local shop owner and was by far the best one. If you are in The area, go. It’s worth the hike up the ridiculous hill to get to the Duomo. If you are lazy, there is bus at the bottom of the hill by Parking 1 that takes you straight to the Duomo and the restaurant is two steps from the Piazza Grande.

Nice view, friendly staff. Would love tongive a 5 rating, but the were not pleased with the Tagliata with truffles. No smell or taste at all from the truffles. To old? Apart from that a lovely meal and the other courses was superb.

We loved our meal here. We had a tour & tasting at Talosa Cellars and they recommended this restaurant. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed the most delicious Lamb Chops with pasta and wine. After having several glasses of Nobile Select(outstanding wine at Talosa) it was nice to switch it up for a simple glass of Prosecco. Plenty of options here.

Spectacular view from the back terrace, with some of the better food in Montepulciano. We were directed here by locals, after Unilocal lead us to a terrible meal the night before. Service was attentive, by Italian standards, food was fresh(which is more than I can say for some places), and pasta was cooked perfectly al dente(try the pici with spicy tomato sauce, and gnocchi with tomatoes and mint), which is surprisingly rare. Prices are average, roughly 5 – 10 E for starters, 7 – 10 E for pasta and 12 – 15 for entrees. Easily accessible from anywhere in the city.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Glad we did. Solid food and an excellent wine selection. The 04 Casanova Di Neri Reserva was hard to pass up — but sanity prevailed.

we stayed at this wonderful B&B about 2 weeks ago. the view from our room and the restaurant is quite spectacular. the good food was just a bonus and huge wine selection is even better. my husband loved eating, drinking and walking up to his room. the family that ran both was just wonderful. they are genuinely nice and hard working people trying to do their best to make sure your experience is great. the lodging is very, very clean and decent. if you have heavy luggages, just know they have no elevators and you will be carrying it up some serious stairs. but the view and quality of the rooms are worth it. the whole town is quite special and the experience will stay in your mind forever. book a room and eat at this place and you will NOT regret it.

The view from the terrace was UNBELIEVABLE. Food just good, not amazing. Get a bottle of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and the Pici al Ragu and sit and soak in the atmosphere. Heaven.
