Just wanting a quick pizza after checking into the HIE a five minute walk away through a sketchy neighborhood the place was just fine. Passable pizza and cheap. Nothing great but a few things being served looked great and it was certainly lively, crowded and lots of pilots at the bar. I hope they weren’t about to fly!

Our epic European tour ended with our most epic dinner at this restaurant. Featured beer served for my hubby and our friend was BOMB. And I don’t even like beer! All our entrées were delicious– pasta was al dente, sauces were not salty and I finally had my Firenze Steak cooked exactly how I wanted it! The waiters speak English and service is topnotch. We came at 11 pm with a 1030 pm reservation and they didn’t make us feel rushed. Close to 1 pm, drunk to our butts and well fed, the owner served limoncello ‘on the house’. We were in Europe for two weeks, fine dined and tried the best food Europe has to offer– but the experience we had at Samarcanda is one we most rave about!

A MUST place to eat ! I came from the United States to Milan and I had to eat here. I had the Select Special Platter and the insalata mista along with a very nice house Cabernet Sauvignon. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is friendly and helpful. I have had their pizza before and you will be pleased with it as well. You will be glad you came. I will be back next time I am in Italy !

I had a pizza and a salad, both were great! Quick and friendly service. If you are by the airport it’s it’s a great option.

We spent 9 days throughout Italy and this was by far the best meal we’ve had in a long time. There’s absolutely nothing around this neighborhood nor the airport and this was completely unexpected. Incredibly cheap and the most flavorful food we’ve ever had. If you are in the area do not miss this restaurant.4 alcoholic beverages, 2 salads, 2 spaghetti bolognese, bread, water $ 50 euro.

I find the name of this restaurant to be more reminiscent of Mongolia and the silk route trade than Italy! Anyway, went here with work colleagues again and found the food while good, not as superior as that of La Quercia. I got a beer tasting menu for my drinks — got served 5 beers, didn’t like 2 so not a bad average. My entrée was ham with figs –traditional Italian which I was desperate to try, but not sure if it lived up to my hopes. My 2nd colleague got the salmon and monkfish terrine with pumpkin and while the pumpkin was nice, the fish was a bit meh. Finally my 3rd colleague got a caprese — decent but not as good as yesterday! So then for my main, I decided to get pink tagliatelle with squid and octopus — pretty decent but I wish the squid had been grilled it something as it was sorta tasteless — the past tasted nice and fresh however, so a redeeming grace. My colleague got a fish of the day, which he said was ok, and the 3rd colleague got salad which he said was decent. We didn’t stick around for dessert as the food had been generous size and quite filling. So personally, my preference would go to La Quercia rather than coming here again.

This restaurant is better than the restaurant in the Idea hotel. The waitress spoke pretty good English. They accept credit cards with no coperto, which is a huge plus! We had the Bomba pizza. The sausage on it was delicious. We also had spaghetti, which was like every other place in northern Italy. I had a virgin mojito, it was fresh and made in house. I highly recommend this place for dinner if you’re staying in a hotel nearby.

Staying by Malpensa Airport and wanted one last good meal in Italy. This place was delicious! My only complaint was that it was a little buggy outside. However, the restaurant had bug spray for everybody. I had delicious fish with prosecco and cherries for desert. We also had the buffalo cheese and tomatoes to start. Everything was great! The waiters were on top of you too.

Our last meal in Italy was eaten at this local restaurant which was recommended by our hotel receptionist. We knew it was a good recommendation when we saw our cab driver from yesterday with his wife waiting for a table. The interior was very charming in a soothing way. We ordered a bacon and anchovies salad, bacon pizza, and a fish of the day which was a sea bass. All the dishes tasted excellent. The fish was simply grilled with a little sea salt for seasoning. We added fresh lemon juice and olive oil at the table, so light and tasty. The salad was very fresh and refreshing with just the right amount of anchovies and bacon to balance the olive oil /balsamic dressing. The pizza was huge and tasty, also big enough to share. Service was friendly and attentive. The only negative was the foods took a little too long to arrive.

I was very excited to check this place out given the reviews were so high. Although the average was 4.5 stars, I’m going to give it 3. Its a 10 euro Über ride from MXP. Don’t try to walk there from MXP. We were seated very quickly upon arrival. The restaurant was above average busy for a Wednesday nite at 21:00, but our order wasn’t taken for about 20 – 25 minutes, but we saw people who came in before us helped first, thats always a downer. The wine was average priced, and the cocktails(not the fancy ones) were pretty cheap. Good deal there. We ordered the bruschetta which was average bread + diced tomatoes, nothing mind blowing. Two pasta dishes on the traditional menu were ordered, and it was a good sized portion, was difficult to finish. I’d go again and try the pizza, but I’d just have a lower expectation of the overall experience.

A must visit if staying at the Malpensa Holiday Inn Express. Prices were very reasonable for high quality food. Service was acceptable considering it was crowded the night we were there. I was told it gets crowded every night, that’s how good it is. We had the flan alla ricotta, Stufato di daino, and the risotto allo speck formaggio bolzano. All were cooked to perfection, although I found the risotto to be on the salty side. But that was probably just me, as I eat fairly bland food most of the time. All in all, a great place at reasonable prices. Will go again if staying in the area again.

Nice restaurant close to Malpensa airport. Located 5 minutes walking from the holiday Inn hotel. Our server was helpful and attentive to my needs. Prices was a little higher than other restaurants, but the food were large portions and delicious.

Nice restaurant to have lunch. After 1pm it will be very busy so try to be there beforehand. I’ve been there now a few times and was never disappointed. For lunch they have special offers You can have two main meals + ½ bottle water + a coffee for 13,50EUR per person.
