This place is literally the best. We went there for lunch and the first thing I was struck by was the price. € 3 for a quarter of pizza that they end up cutting up into two pieces! Another great food are the fried balls of potatoes near the front of the display case. I originally didn’t want to get them but we tried one and it was amazing! Personally, I think that they taste better warmed up and if there was one complaint I had it was that they didn’t warm it up enough. The one with rice that is € 2(a tad more expensive than the others but totally worth it) is amazing! It has a perfect blend of tomatoes and rice and spices. At the end of our meal it only ended up being 24 euros. 24EUROS! That’s nuts here in Rome! Come here at all costs but be prepared to wait a bit in line. It’s completely worth it. A tip: if you come early in the morning you can get the pizza and fried balls right out of the oven. Also, if you want to eat there you should get there early because the tables are small. P. S. No bathroom

Came in here with a group of 8 guys as soon as we arrived in Rome after a long travel day from Munich and couldn’t recommend it any higher! The women working the counter was fantastic, spoke very good English, and would joke around with us as we’re «those» American guys walking around with big travel packs. The pizza here is served up by the slice and they make a great variety of pizzas. Ranging from the traditional margarita pizza to more innovative blue cheese and mushroom. All excellent! We stopped here for our first dinner and grabbed it a few days later for our last lunch on our way out of town. Perfect little spot in a central location with great pizza and an awesome staff!

Do you have *your* local pizza joint? If I lived in Rome, Zizzi Pizza would be it. Heck, I don’t even have one in Houston, and I’m already claiming allegiance. It’s the smallest restaurant ever — it literally seats 12 people max, inside and outside, but you have the option to carry out, which we elected to do. Fortunately we had the nicest Roman girl help us order, and when an Italian kisses their fingers to show how good something is, I was stoked for this pizza. We ordered the Zizzi(cheese with pepper), Diavola(hot salami and olives), and Funghi(mushroom) — she kissed her fingers for the Zizzi. My favorite was the Diavola — and I don’t even like olives. The salami is spicy, the sauce is spicy, just everything about it is SO. GOOD. The Zizzi was excellent, too; really, a completely different style of pizza from what I’m used to(no tomato sauce), but it was addictive with the slight spiciness to it and the glorious cheese. The mushroom was pretty typical, but you could tell they used fresh mushrooms, which is always welcomed. The pizza here is thin and crisp, but it isn’t paper thin — in theory you don’t really need a knife and fork to eat this Italian style, especially since the pizza doesn’t really get soggy(we walked back 10 minutes to our apartment, and it was still crisp!). They cut their pizza into quarters, which is a hefty serving to eat barbarian style with your hands, but hey — you do you, right? Can’t rave about Zizzi Pizza enough. Affordable, especially for European standards, and just absolutely delicious. Seriously lamenting that I can’t have this at home!

Fantastic pizza away from the tourist crowds. Great variety at reasonable prices. Just know that the place is tiny and you might need to either stand and eat, as my group did, or take your pizza to go.

This place has such amazing pizza and it’s so affordable! Even the beer is cheap! It’s only 50 cents more than a soda, so drink up! I know I ended every sentence with an exclamation mark, but it was absolutely necessary. This place is very affordable. My brother and I stumbled across this small pizzeria after checking into our hotel and had our first meal in Italy here. We were on a mission to eat as much good pizza as we possibly could and this place did not disappoint. We had spicy salami, speck and brie, margarita, garlic and salt, mushrooms and no cheese, bleu cheese and radicchio, and another slice with some kind of a ham. Every one of these slices were a dream come true. We went in before the pizzas came out of the oven so we got them very fresh. I would recommend coming early so that the pizza is not sitting out since its in a display case and not made to order. I also believe this place is cash only.

[+] Best pizza we had in Rome [+] They use organic ingredients [+] Everything tastes fresh and delicious [+] Prices are low, compared to other places where you can only get standard quality [+] Very friendly and attentive owners [-] They have only a few tables and chairs, so maybe order it as take-away and enjoy it somewhere else

We came here on New Year’s Eve. They don’t have much seating, about 4 tables and no bathroom. We ordered a margarita pizza and when it arrived, it was soggy for most of the pizza. It was expensive(twice the price of ROme pricing) for a margherita pizza and quality wasn’t representative of the pricing. The owners were very sweet and so I couldn’t bear to ask for a non-soggy pizza. We ate it, but probably won’t be back. In the city of pizze, it’s not too hard to find great pizza.

Excellent service and great pizza. We got there early in the morning and tried everything they had to offer as it was being made. I totally see why they have such a high rating.

They post a sign that says it is about quality and not quantity and they sure do have the quality down pat. I would say the quantity is decent here too. We split a round pizza with olives and salami and it was out of this world good and reasonably priced. The service was warm and genuine. Although there are a couple of tables, it is more of a takeout or have a quick meal kind of a place. Try it and thank me later.

On 6÷11÷14, my husband, 12 year old daughter, and I visited Zizzi Pizza because of the TripAdvisor reviews. We ordered a variety of pizzas by the slice. Our favorites were the ham & mozzarella, and their specialty 4 pepper spice pizza. Also very good were the marguerita, sausage, and mushroom pizzas. They rise their dough for 72 hours, and they use organic ingredients. Definitely one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Rome!

Run. Don’t walk to this place. So tasty. So fresh. So… Rome!!! We waited about 15 minutes past the opening time for them to be ready. So worth the wait. Pizza margherita was our fave, followed by a cacio e pepe/Quattro formaggio. Cheap. Hot. Fresh. Out of this world.
