I personally loved this place. I studied abroad for 6months and it is probably my top 3 favorite restaurants in Rome. I would highly recommend getting the ravioli the sauce is amazing!

This was the best dinner I had on my visit to Roma. I would say you HAVE to get their special ravioli. It was truly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. My boyfriend got the gnocchi, which was also amazing – but nothing topped the ravioli. We started with the cheese board and had a side of their roasted potatoes with our dinner. For dessert we got a little taster version of three of their desserts. An amazing dinner and we were STUFFED.

t The food was great but the service horrible. We asked our waiter to help us select a wine from 3 options, he chose a 4th which was 40 euros more, after we declined and selected our own, the service deteroriated rapidly. after receiving the bill and discovering he charged us for«his selection», he became more rude and insulting. I understand the mentality of being tired of tourists, but his demeanor was over the top to me. I would never recommend patronizing the place based on that.

Fantastic service and food. I had the fettuccine Alfredo in a lovely Parmesan sauce. Not overly creamy, like in the States, and the pasta was freshly made. The dark chocolate mousse was a sweet ending for the meal. The waitstaff is helpful and friendly. The patio is private and quaint. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Outstanding meal! Lovely wait-staff! Not a tourist-trap as many locals were also enjoying a meal. The cheese boards and roasted artichokes made wonderful appetizers!!! The ravioli is award-winning!!! So far, one of the best dinners in Rome! Brava!

Absolutely amazing! It was our last night and Rome and we couldn’t have picked a better spot! Down a cute little alleyway with nice bushes and scenery. We ordered the suppili which were delicious, reminded me exactly how my grandma used to make them growing up! Also got a cheese and salami board, which was a little over priced for the amount they gave you but still delicious! They did charge for bread which we weren’t aware of bc we didn’t even ask for extra and they brought a second basket over and realized when we got the bill they were $ 2 each. I got the fettuccine which was amazing! My husband got the dish with the tomato sauce and bacon(couldn’t remember the name) but both very enjoyable! We loved that they brought the meals out in the pots still! Really unique and made it a true Roman experience! The wine was also one of the bests we had while we were in Rome! Can’t stop there… Then for dessert my husband for the lemon sorbet can’t complain about that and I got the crostata di pinoli and omg I didn’t want to stop eating it, it was so good! Overall excellent experience. Wait staff was super friendly, some knowing English better then others. We had to ask a couple times to talk to the other waitress bc the one we had wasn’t understanding but she still always remained polite and professional!

Without a reservation, we arrived early(by 7:15) and sat inside. The place has a great atmosphere, stocked to ceiling with wine, plus cured meats and dried spices hanging from the rafters, aged cheeses in rustic old cases, and pasta served in pans. Take advantage of that and order the wine, charcuterie and cheese plates! The pastas, ravioli mimosa and amatriciana, may be the best I’ve ever had in my life. The lamb shank, while well-cooked, was not so special, but the veal oxtail was delicious. The local wine our server recommended was so soft, smooth and strong that I felt sorry for Napa valley. I was almost too full to thoroughly enjoy my affogado(espresso over gelato) for dessert. The staff was friendly and helpful, despite my lack of Italian, and everyone there enjoyed the convivial evening, from elegant old couples to boisterous 5th birthday party girls. Later we meandered inefficiently back through the small lanes, where people poured between bars and restaurants, to the nearby taxi stand on the square.(Don’t take unlicensed cabs). The staff will give you directions.

What a perfect restaurant to go with a romantic walk and date night around Trastevere. The cozy ambience goes perfectly with the delicious food. The food is served in hot pans which not only adds to the experience but also keeps the food palatable for much longer. The servers were also extremely friendly! If you find yourself in Trastevere, you must have dinner here!

We came here in a group of eight people and was able to sample and share many different kinds of antipasto. From cured meat to cheeses to salads. All are very tasty. The balsamic vinegar is sweet and intense. That’s probably the highlight of the dinner. The pasta and main courses are pretty good with their trademark pasta served in the pot it’s cooked in to allow you to scooped up the sauce with bread. This was one of our best meals in Rome and the quality is reflected in the price.

Great ambiance and very authentic dishes. Great presentation as food comes in the pans in which they were made. Only complaint is that the pasta was way too salty for my taste, but otherwise pretty good…

Pasta served in the pot with which it was made. not a Gimmick but a blessing. That way you can clean every last morsel with bread. Wow. 4 different pastas at our table and each was unique and memorable. Great place full of friendly locals.

I’m a food addict. We have spent ¾ of a month traveling Europe. This place… Not that special. The cheese selection was nice, the atmosphere felt touristically Roman, but the price was just not worth the food. I agree with the food guy below me, go to somewhere else where you can spend less money for the same quality.

LOVE this restaurant so much that we often go multiple times while we are in Rome! Not only is the food delicious but the atmosphere is wonderful! They serve their pasta in the pan they cook it in– so Delicious!

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Rome, out of many, many incredible options. The pastas are just about perfect, especially the ultimate Roman classics, the amatriciana and cacio e pepe. Serving them in the frying pan is a nice style touch, but it’s almost besides the point — these dishes would be amazing regardless of what they’re served in. Some of our other favorites include the suppli and the bruschetta(maybe the best I’ve had in my entire life). I’m usually not a ravioli person, but that was pretty great too. There are a lot of great restaurants in Rome, and most have some variation of all of those dishes I mentioned(except the ravioli). The fact that Trilussa stood out to us as much as it did(on multiple trips to Rome, no less) is simply a statement about the quality of their food. Can’t recommend it enough.

Expect to spent $ 50 with a couple of glasses of wine. Very friendly service and helpful with wine selections. They have a huge wine cellar for modest to very expensive. Ah, but it is the cheese that will bring you back here. Start with a cheese plate. We had a cheese plate for 2 for our table of 4. They give you divine bites from strong to mild and heavenly flavors! Truffle infused Parmesan-OMG. Try the steak tartar or the sliced beef with aged Balsamic vinegar. For sides, artichoke and get the spinach too! Any pasta will be wonderful! Two pastas m, a couple of sides, cheese, and two entrees plus dessert. Wonderful spot in an interesting and great neighborhood to wander about in after dinner.

We had dinner at Taverna Trilussa tonight. Food and service was good but pricey. We had asked to surprise our friend with a birthday cake and candle provided; they did, so thank you. We had Suppli balls and Fried Zucchini flowers for starters. They were ok. Our dinner was good. Ravioli Mimosa was excellent!

This was one of our favorite restaurants on our honeymoon. Bucatini and carbonara were the best I’ve ever had. Get the fried artichokes and tiramisu. You will not be disappointed. Really cool décor and tennis rackets on the wall. Great service. Table is yours for the night of you want it.

This was our favorite restaurant we dined at on our vacation which was 19 days long. Such an amazing atmosphere as we felt like we were dining in a little Italian garden. The food was so fresh, unlike anything else. Prices were so reasonable for the amount of food. The fresh whipped ricotta burrata was indescribable. The ravioli mimosa was what I ordered for dinner and they were mouthwatering. My husband ordered the lamb and he loved it. A must go when in Rome!

Loved dining on the patio here on a warm summer night with good friends. I graciously thank the waiter for helping me to NOT order lamb’s brains(non parlo Italiano). We shared some wonderful appetizers, and moved on to pasta — we each ordered something different — all served in pans, all delicious. We should have stopped here, but emboldened by wine and«when in Rome-itis» we moved on to succulent meat courses and subsequently heaved our swollen bodies out the door after wisely passing on dessert. Then we walked a block or so and got gelato. I mean, when in Rome..

Super recomendado.

This place is good but expensive, and not like Felice a Testaccio-level good so that it’s totally reasonable how expensive it is. It’s also kind of obnoxious. They have a ravioli dish where they don’t tell you what is inside, only that it is neither meat nor fish. This is their signature dish. Really? The amatriciana was good but I think they melt a lot of pecorino romano into the sauce, so I ended up having a lot of melted and hardened cheese stuck to the prongs of my fork. The insalata mista was big and fresh, but I asked for it to come before the pasta and they served it after. They only sell large bottles of water, and a glass of house red was 8 euro. They have a 2 euro cover charge. I raised my hand to ask for the waiter and he signalled«1» with his index finger and didn’t come back for several minutes. I am giving this three stars because I think it is over-rated and there are many other places in Rome where you can get slightly better food for significantly less money(e.g. Maccheroni, Da Francesco), or significantly better food and better service for similar money(e.g. Al Moro, Felice). By international standards though it would probably be four stars.
