Another one of our favorites in Rome. The atmosphere was great and the staff was excellent. It is close to the Spanish Steps but who cares?! We were here in late November so there was a good mix of tourist and locals. The food was great as was the wine and very affordable to what you pay for a comparable dinner stateside.

We got duped thinking this place was going to be decent, the food was mediocre and turned out to be a tourist trap near the Spanish Steps. The staff was fine but just the disorganization of getting the bill and having to wait over 20 minutes to get our change was horrible. We could see even the waiters knew it was going to take a while and even though they tried to get the boss to process our bill we still eventually had to ask for it again. We were polite but this experience isnt worth it since we could be spending our time at more authentic spots to eat and experience Rome.

Excellent wine! Food terrific. Servers friendly and attentive. Did not get the blue bottles of water served to others around us, but I assume that was because we were obviously Americano. Would recommend.

I’ve been to Rome before and love the food here. I wasn’t impressed with what this place had to offer. The reason we went here is becuase, one we were super hungry and were looking for anything. And two, we were looking for a place which was crowded under the assumption that if it is, its probably good… In all fairness it wasn’t bad. But I’ve had way better in Rome. I got a bruschetta as a starter, tasty tomatoes but hard bread. Then I got a pizza with mushrooms. The disappointing bit is it was canned mushrooms. Friendly staff though… Don’t really recommend it.

On our first full day in Rome my wife wanted to come here based on other reviews. So we walked here from our hotel which was close by and tried their lunch. We luckily got seated right away because right after more and more people began to arrive and had to wait. We sat outside and took in the streets of Rome as we watched both locals and tourists walk on by. The food was great, we had our first Chianti here and set us off to find the best one the rest of our trip. If we are ever back in that marvelous city called Rome we will surely return.

Slow and«you are delaying my next cigarette kind of service» plus $ 3euro water for what you can buy for $.5-$ 1 almost anywhere… too bad because the food is quite fantastic. Sitting outside is an option if you like the smell of consistent exhaust.

Awful. Bad pizza, bad salads. Eating from a food cart would bring you better joy & food.

After visiting the Spanish Steps, my husband and I were hungry for some dinner. We had jotted down a few places that had great reviews on Unilocal, but having forgotten to list the addresses of these said locations(and not being able to access wifi), we were out of luck. We wandered aimlessly for half an hour(maybe more, can’t tell past the hunger pangs), passing restaurants and shops with no luck. We had passed by Numbs, and noticed that nearly the entire outdoor seating area was full. That could not be said about surrounding restaurants. The hostess was outside, trying to get people to come in and stay for dinner. She wasn’t pushy, but we were still on the hunt for the restaurants on our list, so we passed on by. Eventually, after another few blocks of fruitless searching, we returned. And we are SO happy we did. The hostess and the 2 servers we had all worked great together, are multilingual, and were patient and understanding as we attempted to place our orders in Italian(they would have easily understood us if we had placed our orders in English). We ordered the artichoke soup, spinach ravioli and some beef dish on their 2nd course menu. The artichoke soup was delicious – creamy, not too thick, not too thin, just enough pureed bits of artichoke. The ravioli was great too, and had some sort of creamy vodka sauce. And the beef. Oh man, it was cooked medium rare, was tender, and was so good we could probably come back just for that dish. The sauce was good too, had a hint of vinegar(now that I think of it, tastes a tad like A1 sauce). The only beef dish that I recall is that the name of the dish is listed in quotation marks and starts with the letter«R.» The servers were really attentive(but not too attentive), and easily understood our request to split our dishes for 2. The ambiance was great – we sat outdoors since it has been a mild winter, and the heating lamps kept us cozy. And the food was pretty darned good too. What a great first meal experience in Rome!

I Was greeted as I walked by first, then i decided to eat here, very nice staff, food was very good, checked up on me lots, but had a couple visitors, friends dropped by. That may be ok in Italy but in Canada, staff could be fired for talking and hanging out with friends. So the service got worse, but the food made up for it, and I was alone so it did matter but didn’t matter!

Very good location near Piazza Spagna. Good variety in their menu and the food(we had lunch) was actually pretty good. They were accommodating to some of our party’s late arriving. If you want a decent lunch menu and are not in a hurry try it out.

If you stay in the area, they have a decent breakfast with fresh squeezed juice. We also had dinner there one night, and the pasta was good.

Great sidewalk café w/cute, friendly waitresses and good Italian food. Open late and lively entertainers happen by to play sax, guitar, or accordion.
