Worst meal I’ve ever had! It was so bad that after one bite I put down my fork and didn’t touch it again. I ordered the spaghetti Pomodoro a basil and expected it to be fresh. The tomato sauce could’ve come right out of the can of Campbell’s tomato soup. It was disgusting and a shame to be served anywhere but a disgrace in Italy. The waiter was rude. I told him in Italian what I thought and he argued with me. A huge mistake. I know better than to eat at a touristy restaurant in a touristy neighborhood but took a chance and really regretted it. Only eat where you see a real Italians eating that’s my advice

You want good food near the Trevi Fountain with attitude, this is your place. We strolled by this place one night looking for a nice place to eat our final meal in Rome the following night and saw that they had Pasta Fagioli and lots of steak dishes on the menu. So, we talked to this charming waiter and made reservations for the next night. Well, it seems the charm of the man was all worn out by the following night. He seated us outside in the patio area and began to take our order. When my wife began with the soup she had been dying to have, he said«No Pasta Fagioli.» Long story short he became agitated by her wanting to know to why, made a lot of arm gestures, said something to the owner and walked away. I mean he walked out of the restaurant, around the corner and did not return for 15 minutes. We took it in stride but where a bit befuddled not knowing what to do next. About ten minutes later a very nervous older waiter came by with his pad in his hand which we took for wanting to take our order. We both ordered steak dishes, a small salad and roasted potatoes, which where very tasty. They seat you very close together outside but luckily for us our British neighbors where very nice. It turns out they had gotten a bit of the«Tude» by the same guy earlier. When he dropped off the check we heard him say, «no more english for me.» Which to us meant he would not be speaking anymore English to anyone that night. Funny enough a few minutes later a group of very beautiful American women came in and what do you know… His English magically improved. Yes, it’s a touristy area, yes, it’s a bit overpriced, yes they have«tude» but you go in there with that understanding. You want something else go somewhere else. We got a good meal near the Trevi and can boast that an Italian waiter refused to serve us. Well worth the price for that honor!

We were really hungry and this restaurant was right next to our hotel, even though we knew it was a touristy area and may not be the best for food. A description of the experience in this restaurant, with the worst being first. — We ordered the bill and had to wait for about 25 minutes to get it. Our waiter was nowhere to be found, and the other waiter, who was cleaning the table next to us, refused to give us the bill. He said he was not in charge of our table. He was really amused as he said it and proceeded to be the only waiter doing work around us while singing/whistling and ignoring us. — The bill finally came, and it was handwritten. The handwriting was not readable, which I assume was done on purpose considering we were charged 120 euros for wine, three plates of pasta and a bruschetta. — The waiter took the money and gave us short change, and said that the«service is not included». We needed 35 back, he put in 15. As my friend looked confused and wondering why the money was so little, the waiter was trying to make conversation until finally noticing we’re insisting on getting our money back, so he pulls a 20 which was hidden in his hand. He wanted to keep the 20 plus whatever tip we give him. We took it back and decided not to ask questions about the handwritten bill as well as leave no tip as he was trying to rob us and the service was terrible. As we were getting up to leave, he stayed there and kept saying«service not included!!» to which we said«maybe you shouldn’t have tried to rob us» — We ordered a starter a main course. The starter came after we were finished with our food. — Food was way below average. The pasta was under cooked, the gnocchi was average, the tortellini was ok. Awful, awful restaurant. Go anywhere else for good food in Rome, there’s plenty of it.

My wife and I ate here four years ago and fell in love with the place. It’s about a block from the Trevi Fountain. One of the waiters, Antonio treated us so well that on our second return trip to Rome we headed for this restaurant first night out. We love sitting outside close to tourists from around the world. This is a great experience you cannot find back in the US. If you sit outside, just start up a conversation with whoever is beside you. We sat beside a couple from Pittsburg, two young women from Australia and the next night two French men and a group from Scotland. It is like a party, great wine $ 25 to $ 35 a bottle, lots of Lemonchello’s, the waiter gave us some free and of course the food. The Rigatoni Ala Norma is our favorite. The next night, we asked for some pasta with spinach and mushrooms and they made us a special dish. Ate again for a third night and had a mushroom salad, not like anything I’ve ever tasted. The Sea Bass for two was the best I’ve ever had. Again, this place is our favorite restaurant in Rome and we are staying at a very nice hotel the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri. This is a great lively fun experience if you want it to be. Price ranges for two, two bottles of water, a bottle of wine, bread, bruschetta, salad, main entrée, desert and american coffee. Prices from $ 80 to $ 150.

Good food but horrible and rude service. We had ordered a nice bottle of wine which was enjoyable but price starts at 25eu. we were not very hungry so ordered a single pasta dish to share and enjoy with the wine. The waiter was rude and snickering at us for not ordering more. They also charged 4eu for bread without asking or confirming we wanted it. just set it on the table likely to increase the bill and then took it away before we had more than a slice each! sneaky and distasteful. The waiter then had the gall to pick up the check and say we could leave now assuming that all the change was a tip. So far the rudest waiter and restaurant visited in Rome. the worst part is that this was a recommendation from a guide book and this is a sad fact.
