This place is expensive. I can’t comment on the food. But our drinks were delicious. We had a mimosa and and a soda as we waited for someone to catch up. Our server was incredibly friendly and brought us out complimentary chips. However, as nice as or server was… this place is close to St. Peter’s Bacilica and you are going to pay St. Peter’s prices. For one mimosa, one coke, and a water… our bill was almost 30 euros… lol. Crazy. We could have fed a family of four with those prices somewhere else. So, just be prepared for that. But other than that, nice view and nice service :)

Believe the negative reviews. This place is gross. I know better than to stop at a place so close to attractions but I was starving and thought it would be ok. It was not. I’m not even a food snob but the pasta with meat sauce was just terrible! Two(gross) pastas and two waters cost € 42! I gave the waiter a € 50 and he handed me € 5 back and quickly walked off. Uh, no that’s not right, so I tracked him down and he gave me € 2 more. Whatever, close enough. Ate some great gelato a few blocks away to get rid of the taste. I wish I had wifi to Unilocal a place like this before going.

If I, also, could give this place ZERO stars, I would. My girlfriend and I went in this morning to grab a two cappuccinos and croissant. The server at the bar told us that we had to pay first and then bring her the receipt. Cool, no problem. Walked over to the old, blond hag at the register. She rang us up, and as I pulled out my card, she told us «cash only.» The total was 5,20 €. We didn’t have any coins so I gave her two 5s. The lady tells us to give her 20 cents, instead of a 5 €. We told her we didn’t have any change and that’s all we had, and she walked away. Do you think I want to walk around with change in my pocket? I would give it to you if I had it. How does a restaurant not have change for 5 €? We turned around and walked out. They need to get rid of her. Her attitude was horrible. But now that I see the ratings here, we would have never stepped foot inside. Even though this place is close to the Vatican and the Castle, DON’T waste your time here! Keep walking, and you’ll find anything better.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst Italian food ever. Tomato sauce tasted like Ragu, actually worse. For three people(three pastas), and one beer it was 64 euros. They charge you like a 17% service and the service is horrible. Beware tourist trap!!! Just eat a panini from the street vendor or bring bars to Vatican! I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. The spaghetti was so soft, not like the al dente homemade I’ve had in Rome. Horrible place.

The worst Italian food I ever had. Extremely expensive. 12,00 for a large coke — for a gallon of soda — just away to drive bill up Raviolis were horrible — pasty and the filing didn’t appear to be cheese. The caprese salad — mozzarella was slimy Service was awful and they stood and waited for a tip.

On a rainy afternoon I was just looking for a place that was warm and dry. I popped in for a cappuccino and it didn’t taste very good. It had the flavor of burnt sawdust. The cost was 6 euros plus a 1 euro service charge.

this place is a scam. Food was acceptable and I get it that it’s down from the Vatican but to charge 10 Euro for a scoop of ice cream is ridiculous. When I asked the waiter why when the sign says 4 Euro he replied because you are sitting in our restaurant. I replied but we just had lunch for four people, a bottle of wine and you still charge 10 Euro? His answer was I know, I don’t make the rules I follow them.

Would not recommend. Service was not good. The food was mediocre. Definitely a tourist trap since it’s located down the street from the Vatican. Avoid.

If I could post a zero, I would like to do so. The prices are horrible as is the quality of the food. Ordered a fisherman’s wife pizza which was covered with fake crab meat. It was so bad that did not finish. Questioned the waiter and was outright told that this is how they make seafood pizza in Italy. Such a shame after nice tour of the Vatican. You should not take advantage of tired tourists. And get a credit card machine!

The terrible food is only outdone by the incredibly rude staff. I am not a picky eater and I understand that the location is a tourist trap, so canned/frozen ingredients and ridiculously overpriced meals were to be expected, but there was no reason for the sheer rudeness of the staff. They clearly hate tourists and have nothing to gain by faking it seeing as how a 17% gratuity is automatically included. Upon requesting ice for our water during our escape from the summer heat, our waitress literally rolled her eyes and never brought it. We waited twenty minutes for our check after asking three different times. They weren’t even busy. I can deal with bad/overpriced food, but bitter bitchy servers really get my blood boiling having been a server myself.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Service was horrible and the food… should it even be considered Italian? Pizza tastes like a frozen one they just heated up we had the margherita and hawaiian. Also, this«restaurant» is cash only.

Had lunch here after morning at Vatican. Our lunch was 91 euros for 3! Way over priced for quality of food. French fries 10 euros, large liter coke 14 euros. Walk further away from Vatican for a better value and lunch.

This is an extremely scam restaurant. Food is disgusting, the lettuce in my sandwich is like coming from the trash can. I would not want to even look at it. The food price is like a scam, a spaghetti with meatball cost 24 euros? Are you freaking kidding me? And they automatically add almost 18% service fee to the bill, 18%!!! SUPERSCAM!!! Also the waiter even shamelessly asked for tips again!!! Are you freaking kidding me? AVOIDTHISPLACE!!! DONOTGO!!!

We tried to take our coffee to go, they told us to sit so we did. The price of coffee and cake was 6 euros originally, but since they told us to sit down it was 18 euros! I tried to talk to the manager about it and they made fun of me telling me to run to the police. Never go here, bad people and bad prices.

The place is OK at best! The food is just as everywhere else, but the prices are simply through the roof!!! Single shot espresso is € 10.00. Yes, ten Euro… Super expensive! And I am not against expensive restaurants, as long as they deserve it. …And this one didn’t! We paid so much money for average lunch!

AVOIDAVOIDAVOID. This place is overpriced and has a waiter that is a scam artist(the thin dark haired one). My meal cost 20 €. I gave him 30, and he gave me back 5, saying that the extra 2 is for tips. The math isn’t right, so I asked for my change back.
