We decided to try this restaurant after reading the Unilocal reviews, and are glad we did. The place is charming and quiet, which was nice after a full day of sightseeing. We ordered the prosciutto with melon, seafood pasta, steak, and crème caramel. They were all great. I especially enjoyed the pasta, which was flavorful and had just the right amount of saltiness. The restaurants we had visitors prior to this in Rome were good, but both my husband and I found the pastas to be a bit too salty. Not the case with Il Corsaro. We saw some people ordering the grilled fish of the day, which looked great but we didn’t have room in our stomachs for… Would come back again.

Two blind hens found an acorn! We were at Spanish Steps and happened upon a great little alleyway gem. Prawns were lobsteresk, Arraibiata was best sauce thus far in Italy, clams in spaghetti was very, very good. Service was perfect, outdoor lunch atmosphere works.
