Totally bad choice. It looks like all of the staff is Indian, how we can expect Indians do fine Italy food? The seafood in the risotto is not fresh, the pasta is too salty. Only the pizza is ok. Charge € 4 for one bottle of water, and another € 4 for service, very bad service. AVOID!

People are are not too friendly, especially when they know you are buying it and taking it To-go, here they call it Take Away. I’ve been directed to go inside to order, waited at the cash register and asked by three different guys, then get directed to go to the front door to another cash register just to make an order! Since this place is right next to the Colosseum and the enter of touristy area, I don’t think they care if you come back or not. Definitely would not recommend to eat here. I ordered the Spaghetti with meatballs here but it’s nothing special. Sauce did not come with the«meatball» sauce that was advertised. I had to add a lot of salt. No good.

Péssimo restaraurante, cobra taxa para servir na mesa, os caixas são grosseiros e zombam dos clientes. Vinho quente e comida ruim. Fiquem longe desta armadilha pra turistas

Viel Auswahl viele unterschiedliche Speisen, leider alles eher Einheitsbrei lieblos und fad. Kellner geben sich sehr Mühe, dennoch ist alles — wie generell rund um das Kolloseum — eindeutig überteuert. Schade

I try to avoid negative Unilocal reviews — but I really can’t help it in this case. THISPLACEIS A HUGESCAM. TOURISTTRAP. It’s a convenient location near the colosseum, but it’s not worth going to. For starters… they have a high fixed charge/random fee and do not offer tap water. The bottled water is extremely overpriced and the waiters are a bit rude. The food is mediocre. I got the bruschetta and pasta arrabiata, and it was a bit too basic and over salted. The best part of the restaurant is that it offers fans that spray water. And trust me in the 90 degree Rome heat, this will feel like heaven. I got sucked into this trap(in a desperate cry for a cold shelter), but don’t make the same mistake as me!

Yummy breakfast here! We had ham and fruit crepes, eggs, fresh fruit, and cappuccinos. The outdoor seating is very close to a side road. Good service. Great quick stop for a bite to eat near the Colosseum.

Came across this place during a busy lunch hour. The waiters come after tourists passing by fairly quickly. I decided on dining at this location because I was extremely hungry and craving french fries at the time. My husband and I ordered local beers, which weren’t too bad. We sat outside and people watched. It’s really close to the colosseum, so there are a lot of crowds that come and go. I had the breaded chicken plate with french fries and a mini salad. The salad didn’t have dressing and was a little hard to eat. Fries were generic but satisfied my craving. Chicken was actually pretty good, hence the three stars. Service is slow but that’s italy for you. They have gelato inside. I got the coffee flavor to go and it was pretty good. Decent prices and food. I’d still recommend a different place if you can bare the walk.

I stumbled upon here after a drunk night at the ice club. I had the polpette di manzo al sugo con patate. It’s beef meatballs with tomato sauce and potatoes. Portions aren’t really big here so plates aren’t meant for sharing. However the dishes are really flavorful and rich! The sauce was really good with the meatballs. Sure it is pricey with the service charge and water but hey you’re in a tourist area? Atleast the food is good.

Avoid this place at all costs — they prey on tourists and have no qualms with outright lying to your face, and not even hiding it when it’s too late for you to do anything. We stopped in to Gustando Roma for some gelato after lunch. All of the other places in the area were pretty crowded; this was the third we’d been to and it didn’t have a line, plus they had some interesting looking flavors, so we figured we’d give it a try. Just wanted the usual two scoops to go like every gelato place in Italy offers. As we’re perusing the flavors, a waiter comes up and tells us we need to sit. No no, we say, we just want some gelato to go. He informs us that this is not an option — they are sit down only, and he shows us their size options — the smallest is a glass cup for 6 euro with four scoops. I mean, value wise, it’s not terrible, it’s just a lot of gelato. But, hey, we didn’t want to wait in line at the other places and needed a rest anyway, so we sat down. After we ordered and got our gelato, and the other tables filled, we noticed people starting to get to go cups with two scoops — just like we asked for originally! It turns out the waiter is a liar, telling tourists that don’t know better things that aren’t true, until they fill their tables. This is deceptive and wrong. I don’t know enough about Italian laws to make such a claim, but in the US, I do believe a bait and switch like that would be illegal. And to top things off — they charged a 10% service charge! You’ve gotta be kidding me! Mandatory 10% charge for some liar to bring us ice cream rather than the guy at the counter handing it to us like we originally asked? Ridiculous. Oh, and the gelato itself wasn’t all that great, either. The watermelon tasted conspicously like cheap bubble gum you might have gotten out of a pack of baseball cards, and the cookies and cream was essentially vanilla. It looked a whole lot better than it tasted. Do not come here, under any circumstances. There are lots of other places around the Colloseum and Forum that sell pizza and gelato, and I’m sure that most or all of them are more honest and worthy of your business. There are street vendors outside selling counterfeit merchandise on the corner more honest than these people. Don’t waste your money here.
