Our tour guide told us this is the place she takes her kids for gelato. She’s a born and raised Italian. Glad we listened to her as we loved this place! Cheapest of the gelato places we’ve eaten at — 2 euros for a cone w/2 flavors! The Zabaione is quiet popular and like another Unilocaler said, eggy and boozy. Will be coming back here for the rest of our stay in Rome. Better than San Crispino imo.

This place is a mixed bag. I heard good things about their Zabaione flavor, and rightly so. The zabaione is an eggy, boozy, delicious frozen treat which knocks the socks of everyone else’s attempt at this flavor. The rest of the gelato is ho hum boring and not worth it. I went two scoops with two flavors and was so disappointed at first until I dug into the Zabaione. I’d really recommend this place but realize it’s a one-trick pony. It’s a great trick, but don’t expect anything else.

A small ice cream place just in front of the Pantheon and with a lot of competion within the block, but that defends itself with quality ice creams. Be sure to try the zabaione flavor, my favorite.
