My friends and I was wandering around and found this really cute shop. We were like «let’s go inside!» We were very amazed with the diversity of ice cream and deserts. I had a pistachio ricotta cake. The cake is ok but the services are super bad, especially the servers are rude and annoyed! And the tiramisu had too much water!!! Not reccommended!

Good stuff, but don’t sit down! I came across this place while walking in this beautiful part of town late in the evening. I order a tiramisu (€ 3.50) and an espresso (€ 0.90) at the counter and I proceeded to pay at cash register (in Italy one needs to get the famous «scontrino» in order to collect his order). The cashier abruptly asked me if I was going to sit down in one of the few tables inside, and when I replied yes, he proceeded to charge me € 7. Now, I have no problem with being charged extra for table service, but having to pay a more than 50% fee for sitting down to consume what I had fetched myself from the counter is ridiculous. If I ever come back (the tiramisu was really good), I’ll seat somewhere in the gorgeous piazza outside.

Beware a total rip off if you eat inside. Charged 5 euro to eat a 3.50 dessert which was not good. Go across the street or next door for a great experience and good service.

I have to politely disagree with the reviews before me as I found the gelato overrated and overpriced compared to other shops around Rome. Agree the interior is cute and very «IG selfie ready,» but the flavors we tried were bland and uninspiring.
I requested the smallest cone possible and chose pistachio and vanilla. The vanilla was boring and too sweet and the pistachio was my least favorite in all of Italy with no nutty flavor or taste of pistachio whatsoever. Also, the pricing was really ridiculous, 4 euros for two tiny scoops. My husband ordered chocolate, strawberry, and something else that was forgettable. The chocolate tasted like I was eating whole scoops of pure unsweetened cocoa powder at every lick, ugh. For three flavors his total was a whopping 7 euros, yikes!
Together we regretfully spent 11 euros for takeaway gelato that turned out to the worst of our 17 day tour of Italy. There are so many better and more affordable options for gelato in this neighborhood, stay away.

Obsessed obsessed obsessed. Wish this was back home nearby, but I’ll take every day I spend here in Rome. This place has pleasant prices for exquisite desserts and gelato. The service is fantastic, so is the location. Don’t confuse this place with any haphazardly gelato place near the Pantheon. This place looks like you would find it in Provence, France. It has lids on the gelato and gorgeous desserts on display.

People — three words for you: pistachio filled cannoli. Add hazelnuts on one side and dark chocolate chips on the other and you have one of the most delicious desserts ever.
This place is incredible. My husband and I stumbled upon this place after walking around for a bit and we may have intentionally stumbled on it the next day as well. OK, yes, we went twice. Don’t judge. (And you won’t after you’ve been there.)
Also don’t miss the sfogliatella (lobster tails). These have the perfect amount of ricotta filling and that crunch is divine.
Did I convince you to go yet? Do not miss this place.

Every single thing in this place looks absolutely incredible. I walked in from the street after the chocolate croissant caught my eye, but instead was recommended to try the pistachio croissant. Absolutely delicious! It was overflowing with pistachio cream, and I would say it was the best pastry I had in Italy.
We went early in the morning at a time when gelato didn’t seem appropriate, but from these pictures I will have to go back and try gelato and a cannoli.

Eat a cannoli. Oh my, so delicious! Right by the Trevi Fountain. Take a break from gelato, one cannoli will feed two people. I never understood cannoli until I eat one here. Creamy deliciousness.

I visited Don Nino two weeks ago and the Pistachio Gelato was by far the best I’ve had to date. The Gelato here is very fresh. Worth a visit, especially if you’re staying in one of the Hotels close by. Wish we had a Don Nino in New York. It’s that good. Try with waffle cone.

This place is so adorable! I’m so glad we decided to stop by and check this place out (no Unilocal required this time, I know, shocking!) haha. They have gelato and pastries like pistachio tiramisu and Sicilian cannoli made to order to order for optimum freshness and crunchiness of the shell. I had the pistachio tiramisu and it was heavenly.
My boyfriend got the half pistachio half cream cannoli which was recommended by the very kind workers there. He loved it so much, he finished it once we just got outside and went back for another. WOW! Must definitely check this place out if you’re near the Trevi Fountain.

We stumbled across Don Nino after seeing the Pantheon, and were SO glad we stopped in. The pistachio cannoli was outstanding, unlike any I’ve tasted (living in Australia). We also tried the tiramisu, which was most delicious. Served with two cappuccinos, we were in heaven! We were pleased that the service was much better than what we had already experienced in Roma. Being a same sex couple who do not speak Italian, we have been met with a lot of blunt, less than friendly service. The girls here were lovely, and made me feel comfortable even when my better half had to go and find an ATM after having already ordered (oops — they’re cash only!). 5⁄5 would eat here again!

You know a gelato shop is upscale when it keeps its gelato supply under tin covers… Don Nino offers a large selection of unique flavors ranging from walnut to fig and chocolate. While its gelato is delicious, it certainly isn’t worth the hefty price of € 4.

We spent the holidays in Rome, and having an excellent cannoli was the only thing missing from the experience. Finally, on the way to the Pantheon, the smell of fresh pastries called to us.

Littéralement à deux pas du Panthéon, Don Nino vous fera découvrir les desserts italiens, et réalisés de façon artisanale, jusqu’à tard dans la soirée.
On peut s’y asseoir pour boire un thé accompagné de «dolci» ou tout simplement prendre une glacé à emporter.
Le comptoir commence par proposer des glaces et des sorbets.
J’ai découvert la glacé à la ricotta et ses noix: un délice surprenant !
J’ai complètement oublié les noms des desserts italiens, il y en a beaucoup à base de ricotta, et j’ai été conquise par ceux goûtés lors de mon séjour.
On sent la fraîcheur des produits, ils sont faits sur place (et même deant vous pour certains !) et ils sont savoureux.
Le petit truc en plus: Le personnel né parle pas — ou peu — français, mais tout le monde a été très avenant.
Si vous n’êtes pas fan de la cuisine italienne, leurs muffins valent le détour !

We stumbled across this place on our way to another gelato place, but we’re so glad we stopped! Excellent gelato and even better service. They are new to the area but totally worth the trip! We ended up going to both but this was a far superior experience!
