Come here to reserve the table outside, but inside it’s loud and stuffy. The music is hit or miss. The staff are usually pretty friendly so that’s a plus. Quality very inconsistent so stick to wines and beers– basically things that cannot be screwed up. Plus they have a decent selection of wines for being a bar for the«cool» kids– not necessarily the foodie/drink types.

I liked this place more a few years ago, where I used to hang out here for drinks only. The ambient is quite chic and music is nice, maybe a little bit louder than expected for its purpose. There’s also an outdoor terrace, so it’s quite spacious. They have an happy hour with lot of sandwiches and some first courses(mainly pasta), I prefer when the aperitivo has to offer vegetables too. Also drinks may have to improve, but I always go for a glass of wine that it’s unlikely disappointing.

Our experience here was very limited, but it seemed like a cool enough place. It was pouring rain and, after crossing the bridge, we were soaked. It was necessary to stop somewhere, dry off, and, hey, let’s grab a drink! We had a couple beers, which were served with free chips, and soaked in some of the local scene. Tons of people here seemed to know each other and were popping in for a quick espresso or a snack. Apparently at night, the place can get pretty busy. It served its purpose for us and everyone was nice.

Guess we should have gotten on Unilocal before going to this place. We didn’t know about the free appetizers, and they didn’t inform us. € 7 for a glass of wine is high for this area.

The family gives Zoe 4 stars(votes ranged from 3 to 4.5). After eating the aperitivos(aka free appetizers when you buy a drink), we ordered dinner. I had penne pasta with mozzarella and basil. A bit al dente, good flavor, could have used some more cheese. Mediterranean burger — yes extensive burger menu. No bun, no fries… But still got a 4. Three club sandwiches with fries. Al eaten, no complaints. Received the 4.5 from our pickiest eater. Ichnusa beer on draft from Sardinia. A solid alternative to Italian beer. Two negatives that we adapted to… no English menu and not the fastest. All in all, a great stop on the way to the Piazzale Michelangelo. Enjoy!

One of my favorite apertivo in firenze! Food is good, drinks are good, has outdoor area, and gets packed.

We made a quick stop to get out of the rain on our way to another site. Zoe seemed very heavy with locals getting espresso and some casual lunch. While we only had a drink with some complementary chips it seems like it would be a descent place for a cheap lunch.

Oh the genius of Italian aperativo. So it’s the end of our week long vacation in Florence and I am B-R-O-K-E. My boyfriend informs me that we are meeting a friend for drinks and I was shocked when I noticed that the average drink price(before dinner itself) was like € 7. It was then that I discovered the magic of Italian aperativo. You get free food with your drink! AMAZING! Meaning that you get a pretty decent dinner along with a cocktail for the price of just a drink. The food here is buffet style and you can go up and get it from the bar area starting around 6:30pm. It’s full of several salad varieties, tasty rice dishes, and pieces of pizza with dips. The food changes every day or so and although the waitress is grouchy and inattentive, the location is lively and scenic enough to keep me happy. There are several places around which also do aperativo, but I hear that the food is not as nice nor the place as fun. Plus, the outside, shaded seating allows for a nice view and a feeling of belonging to the relaxed 20-something year old crowd that comes here for a early evening drink. Bello, Zoe!

Easy-going modern bar south of the river near to the trendy San Niccolo area. Good for coffee and a light lunch. In good weather Zoe’s has great seating outside — so go for a couple of drinks there in the summer. Food is alright but not great.
