Great concept, great food, lovely music. The guys here did a very good job at dishing out an «american style» eatery with an Italian twist. Very good job indeed, everything is cooked on the spot and depending on where you sit you also get to see the cooks at work. Coffee is marvellous and so are the cakes. Will come back for a full meal as I have tried the place for an extended brunch…

Amazing Croque Madame! Try the ham one with a coffee. You won’t be disappointed. The décor here is very rustic and home like but with a bit of an industrial twist. It’s more modern than your average florence eatery but the fact that it’s a different cuisine from the rest is charming.

I love this place. As far as vibe and energy, quality of coffee and selection, you can’t beat it. However, when it comes to service… Things fall off the map. Seemingly nice with an undertone of «whatever» by a couple of the baristas. Second time here I got a cappuccino to go. The owner was in front of me and told me that I lose 80% of the flavor in a to-go cup. So why have them? Then he told me not to put sugar in it because it’s unhealthy. Him, smelling like a cigarette. The irony. Today, I arrive at 8:15 am and the place is not open and ready. He told me he was late and he answered«8 o’clock» when I asked what time they open. I ordered two cappuccinos and he didn’t even start on them until 10 minutes later after moving a bunch of boxes around and«opening». Sometimes you get skipped if you don’t watch them. They’ll tell you to sit down and then forget about you.

One of my favorite cafes ever! BEST cappuccino I’ve had in Italy, and best Croque Monsieur ever! This café is a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the staff is so friendly!(Even towards Americans!) They encouraged us to eat first and enjoy and then come up and pay later. They have free wifi too. The chocolate Nutella croissant is delicious. While not that flaky like a traditional French croissant, it is deliciously rich. The cappuccino here is absolutely incredible. There is a whole section on the menu explaining where they source their milk from and why it is better quality. And I completely agree, it is the best coffee I’ve ever had! I am not much of a coffee person, I usually don’t like coffee, but LOVED this! I went back the next day for another one. The Croque Monsieur was delicious too! This was the main reason I went to this place. During my trip to Paris I was really looking forward to trying the best croque monsieur, but this one was far better! It had cheese on top, and ham and cheese inside. The bread was perfect, and in the very middle of the sandwich was a melted pocket of a different type of cheese which really made this croque stand out above the rest. So delicious! And on top of the great food and coffee and atmosphere, it’s also incredibly cheap! My cappuccino was € 2 and my Croque Monsieur was only € 7 This is one of my top recommendations for Florence, and this street in particular has several of the other best food spots around, so definitely check it out!

My husband and I visited twice when we were in Florence. It’s a nice and hip coffee bar and the baristas were very nice. On our first visit, we ordered brunch. I had a salad with tuna sashimi and my husband ordered the bacon and eggs which came with a lightly dressed side salad. The food was surprisingly very good. The bacon here is amazing and I highly recommend ordering a side of bacon. The bacon more like a pan fried prosciutto, but it’s so good. The tuna carpaccio burrata salad, which was topped with fruits and nuts, was also very good and nicely dressed. I was very hungry and the salad was filling and satisfying. I would recommend visiting while in Florence. The coffee was so good – equivalent to what you get at the third wave coffee shops in SF, LA, and NY. Each time we came we ordered two different types. I highly recommend the cold brew with a dash of milk and their macchiato… really any of their coffee drinks are good. I noticed the owners and baristas were very helpful if you have any questions about their drinks or pastries.

Entrer dans un décor sympathique, passer sa commande et observer avec plaisir le rituel de la confection d’un cappuccino fait maison, puis le siroter sur les airs de Simon&Garfunkel, Bob Dylan et autres 33 tours… Du bonheur !

Best coffee/espresso in Florence. A modern, cozy café with great décor and a vintage industrial San Francisco vibe. They rocked Al Green on the stereo while I sipped a delicious latte and my husband had the best espresso he’d had during our trip. Pair that with a friendly bartender and free wifi, and you have yourself a perfect late morning hang and breakfast spot.

This place is a beautiful brunch getaway. The food presentation is beautiful. The waiters are friendly but quite slow which is a shame to see such terribly slow service in a place that has so much potential to be something special. The food is very authentic(when it arrives) and it has beautiful window setting which is very good for people watching. I had the tuna carpaccio which was lovely. I also had the croque madame with tuna which was very very good. The Caesar salad was ok. My big issue which is why this brunch place didn’t receive 5 stars was because the service was very much a painful experience. Nonetheless, the location is very pretty and the coffee is very good. I personally had a glass of rose which really complimented my eggs. I might come back when it is less crowded. If you have time to sit around and money to spend, this is the place for you!

Third wave coffee in the land of black roast espresso? It’s possible, guys, and you can find it at Ditta Artiginale! Aeropress? Check. V80 pourover? Check. Delicately made cappuccino? Check. Not to diss the Italians, who essentially, created the art of espresso, but I’m all about the American approach to coffee most of the time. This place helped me find solace in the land of generic, mass-roasted espresso beans that is Italy. They roast their own beans and source them responsibly. The baristas take care to weigh and measure the coffee to water ratio of each brew. I can respect it. They also have a pretty bangin, healthy food menu, though it’s not very cheap. Why four stars? Because they’re not incredibly efficient. I mean, most of Italy is not. For example, today, I wanted to sit but they were full, so I asked for my cappuccino to go. I stood at the counter for a long time waiting for them to make my coffee so I could pay them, which resulted in a line. People were being helped in a weird order and it was a confusing and uncomfortable experience. They were busy though, so I’ll forgive them. Lastly, you can only get small espresso drinks to go. They offer a «big cappuccino,» which is the size we’re used to in the States, but you can still only get a small capp to go. You also can’t get pourover or cold brew to go.

It’s nice to find a great coffee spot outside of San Francisco, CA. :) Their cold brew is great and the breakfast options are fantastic. Can wait to try their roasted beans. Opens at 0800 but doesn’t serve brunch meals till 1000. Only pastry between 0800 to 1000.

Outstanding coffee. Totally awesome brews, and several varieties(tea, too, but not sampled). Service(the kitchen) is really slow, but it’s worth the wait(very good, although I was starved). American dishes, British breakfast. Scrambled eggs, even. Bring a bag of patience with you. You’ll be rewarded. Good WiFi, too.

Great place for weekend brunch, cappuccino was worth the half hour walk to the shop. Simple menu but well executed, first decent bacon and eggs I’ve had in a long while. Busy but lively little place, a nice place to start a lazy day.

Wonderful food and we are heading back for another round this morning. The owner was very attentive to the customers and this shop will last a long time with the service and food that they provide at a great value. Thank you for making part of our morning so great.

The first time I went here, curious about the hype when it opened, I was a little underwhelmed. I think they were finding their footing then, though, because now I’m totally converted. This is one of my absolute favorite spots in Florence to spend a Sunday(though I’d go any day of the week). I regularly come for brunch and my go-to dish is the croque madame with avocado – the portion is perfect for the price and I usually order a «Big Cappuccio,» even if drinking cappuccino with a full plate of food is a serious Italy faux pas. By night, I’m not the biggest fan of gin-based cocktails(their specialty), but I still love to stop in for a Spritz or prosecco and a bit of live music.

This place is one of my favorite coffee hangouts in Florence. The staff is very friendly, they have great brunch, pastries and they play good tunes together with having an amazing/artsy environment. Definitely a must-see when in Florence! The local Florentines usually get a shot of espresso during the day and drink it at the bar while mingling with the staff. They also serve delicious and pretty looking glasses of gin & tonic during ‘aperitivo’ hours.

Eventually I came back for a whole meal, my first approach was for a chocolate and it wasn’t enough! We tried the croque madame(with the egg on top) in two variants: the ham and cheese and the eggplant, dried tomatoes and cheese, both delicious although I keep saying the veggie choices are tastier! Then we had a chocolate with milk(which it’s very good since it comes from a very renowned dairy in Florence) and an Americano(it can be brewed in three different ways you gotta choose), all accompanying a red velvet cupcake and a slice of cheesecake that were amazing! I have to say this place is at its best for desserts and coffees. Tip for the owner: get bigger mugs. I definitely enjoy better the Americano in its proper American size! As for the rest, vintage, hipster, casual, fair priced and chill out at every time of the day. Tip for the customers: get a reservation first!

Awesome place to pick up some non-Italian food while in Italy. On my trip, I was longing for a REAL breakfast – not one loaded with pastries and coffee but one served with eggs and meat and veggies! Well, Ditta Artigianale was exactly what the doctor ordered for sure! Here, I was able to get a Croque-Madame, chocked full of meat and topped with an egg… AND American style coffee, which they brew with either a syphon, aeropress, or V60 method(they let you choose!!!). The interior of Ditta is more modern than most places around Florence, which are more«old world» in décor and spirit. I appreciated this because it gets old eating eating in places that look a bit like museums. Also, the staff is friendly and super accommodating. Definitely check this place out if you’re in Florence for more than a few days. You’ll welcome the change.

This is heaven for Flat White lovers who miss their Kiwi style coffee(OK, Australian too) in Italy. The service is slow, but the coffee is worth the wait. When I asked the barista why they made flat whites he told me that he and his friend had spent some time in London and were inspired by the places they had worked there. The brunch, coffee and tapas menu reminded me of a hip place you’d find in London, New York, Melbourne/Sydney or Auckland/Wellington. I will definitely be back and make the most of the opportunity to have an excellent flat white while I’m in Europe!

Stopped in for a glass of wine on our way to dinner. After 6pm(18:00), wine is € 6, and you get 3 tapas with it! Awesome surprise– the tapas were amazing! They advertise free wifi, but it was broken when we went(as was the credit card machine).

I came across this new coffee spot a couple months ago while walking down via dei neri. The first thing that impressed me about this bistro, besides the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee was the attentiveness and knowledgable staff. I was greeted right away, and while I had to wait in line I watched the baristas make different coffee drinks and the activity over at the gin bar corner was very interesting and made me think twice whether i wanted a coffee or a gin cocktail … I decided to stick with the coffee drink and I was very glad with my choice, strong and full of aroma. I didn’t put sugar or milk in it as I usually do, this special blend was great on it’s own. Again I was very delighted and impressed with the knowledge of the owner, Francesco who described in detail where the coffee was from how/why he choose to bring it to Italy. I look forward to coming back one evening to try the gin bar! Looks as though it wont disappoint. Food looks great too !

Friendly staff, great coffee and interiors. My boyfriend and I got a cold brew, an iced latte and an espresso jump and they were all equally good. I have yet to try their food but will be back.
