Absolutely the best food I have eaten since I’ve been in Italy. Quaint, welcoming, laid back, delightful spot with welcoming staff and personalized service. The tomato bread soup is beyond flavorful words… amazing!

Amazing in every way. This is a lovely, elegant atmosphere on the south side of the Arno. The service was gracious and attentive. Our meals were off the charts great! Enjoyed the black truffle crostini appetizer and a liter of excellent house wine. We sampled the menu with orders of the house made pasta with guanciale, pasta with black truffle(special) and a beef steak with balsamic vinegar. All were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing plates! Desserts were equally good with Tuscan vin santo, we had biscotti(simple and light), pear chocolate torte, and panna cotta(life alteringly good!) It’s difficult to rate the many fabulous meals we’ve had in Italy, but this was among the very best!

I was totally convinced by the delicious food here and this restaurant ranks very high among all the places i have been to for a few months. The appetizers(cheese and ham) were really good and i liked very much the jelly which was great with the cheese: a very nice addition. After this first good impression, we were not disappointed by the main dishes. We shared a few so i have been able to test many things at once. The pasta with boar were particularly tasty: this is a specialty in Tuscany so i have tasted a lot of them during my time here and those ones were really really good. The spinash and the meat were good as well, although i did not like the Balsamic vinegar on it. It was tender and well cooked. The risotto with black ink was very good also(watch out for your face afterwards: you like like you have put black lipstick probably.). And for dessert, i was surprised to taste again delicious stuff because generally my enthusiasm disappears with dessert. And here no: the pear chocolate was amazing. I am still thinking about it. In brief, if you are looking for very good Italian food at a decent prize and in a non touristy restaurant and neighborhood, this is the place to go!

My husband and I had one extra night in Florence and our hotel(Soprarno Suites which is a great place!) recommended we go here for dinner. It was one of the nicest restaurant experiences(and we had many) we’ve had. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The wine list was wonderful(we had a half bottle of the San Felice Chianti Classico) and the meal was amazing. We shared the Bruschetta of the day which was an assortment of toppings including truffle laced mushrooms, fresh tomato, etc. For the main course we got the pork chop which was a gigantic t bone piece that had been slow roasted in the oven for at least 3 hours and just melted in our mouth. The tiramisu was wonderful to end our evening along with a complimentary glass of grappa given to us by the owner. The place was quiet, in a great neighborhood and we would definitely go back again!

To say this restaurant has wonderful food would be an understatement. It was absolutely delicious and affordable. The house wine was amazing. The ribollita was so good, as was the veal. I would highly recommend eating here while in Florence. My husband and I both LOVED it. I would recommend calling ahead for reservations as it was very busy with locals(and some tourists) after 8:30!
