Came here on a rainy day after seeing the huge line at the All’Antico Vinaio sandwhich shop close by. The food was OK. I would recommend trying their Tuscan soup. Unlike any other soup I have eaten, very thick but also very tasty.

Popped in here after our 5 hour adventure at the Uffizi for dinner. I ordered the buttered chicken which was a large portion and very tasty and the wife ordered the ravioli with cheese and spinach which were also very good. After a long day of hiking around Florence this was a welcome respite. Service was good and prices were reasonable but keep in mind they do charge a cover(coperto) and for bread.

Best food in florence. We ate here everyday. The owner took personal care of us and we stopped ordering off the menu and just asked him to bring us what he thought we should have that day. Best florentine steak in town! He folded the eggs into the carbonara at the table! The cheesecake was superb. There is no better food anywhere. Never rushed. The best staff. The best food. I can’t say enough.

It’s not worth your time or money. The bruschetta appetizer was fine but my pasta entrée was undercooked and nearly inedible. There is much better in Florence. If only the food had been as good as the service.

We were hungry and tired after a day of walking around the city and came upon this trattoria. We ordered several dishes and shared them family style. It was in a very touristy area, which we normally try to avoid. A few of the dishes we ordered were good. My favorite was the cheese and spinach ravioli. It tasted fresh and homemade. The bruschetta was not nearly as good as what we’ve had in other restaurants in Italy. The tomatoes just didn’t have a fresh flavourful taste. The tortellini was okay, but nothing special. The steak was cooked nicely. Overall it was okay considering the touristy area, but I don’t think I’d go back again. House wine was fine and a good value. The cappuccino I had after the meal was actually my favorite thing… very flavourful and creamy.

Wow. Best meal we’ve eaten in Florence. We stopped, because we were hungry and the menu looked good. We asked for a wine suggestion, and the owner suggested a Brolio Chianti Classico Reserva 2011. At 32 €, it seemed reasonable, and so we tried it. Excellent! We ordered ravioli with cheese and spinach, and it was superb. Then we had veal with truffles, and it was fantastic. Finally, we ordered cheesecake with berries, which was equally great. The couple who ran the place were such lovely people. We look forward to returning!

I was on the search for wild boar pasta, and found Trattoria Buzzino in a haze of art/church/museum-going-induced hunger. The cartoon of the boar hanging in the window got us. Of course, we ordered the pappardelle al cinghiale. While the portion size wasn’t the best for the price(it is in an extremely touristy area, after all), the pasta was amazing and the sauce was good. Service was pleasant, but the restaurant feels a bit cramped, even by Italy standards.

This past trip to Italy was my 2nd time there and in my two times traveling to Italy, I have gone to buzzino 3 times. The 1st time I went was because we were hungry and just happened to walk by. It was such an amazing meal that is a true local eatery, NOT a tourist trap, yet located right in the heart of Florence. The 1st time I went was with my family and everyone remembered the amazing meal we had here, and when I visited Florence again for the 2nd time, I knew this is the one restaurant I would be coming back to. My boyfriend(who is a chef in the US) and I went to dinner our first night in Florence at Buzzino and the meal was so great that we came back the following day for lunch to try some other things on the menu. Everything here is made with love and care and you can taste it. Seems like its family owned and they take pride in what they do. We tried a ton of the pastas and soups and salads. All of the pastas were cooked perfectly and the sauces were just amazing. One thing to note is that what they call a Caesar salad there is not like a Caesar salad in the US.

Trust me, there are way better restaurants in Florence. This is a tourist trap. It’s right behind the exit to the Uffizi gallery and we were hungry after waiting 2 hrs in line and walking inside the museum for 3.5hrs so we went for the first restaurant we found, which is this one. First, service was terrible. The old man and his wife were extremely grumpy they were shouting and being annoyed bc one of us needs gluten-free dish. Then we found out that they were serving us tap water inside the bottle they gave us and pretended it was spring water so they could charge us for it. I ordered the insalata mare or the seafood salad and the mussels and octopus were not fresh that I got a diarrhea afterwards. Overall terrible service and poor quality food. Guests from other tables looked equally dissatisfied with the restaurant. One table walked away and left ¾ of the wine they had ordered. Avoid if you can and you can check their reviews on google maps to confirm.

An exemplary Italian experience! Glorious food, reasonably priced, served in a setting of countryside ambiance nearby the Uffizi. After many hit or miss eating experiences in Florence, little Trattoria Buzzino was my ‘dream come true’ early one afternoon. I made a point of writing down the name and location. It’s a keeper!

A must in Florence. It is family owned. Father and son serve you. The father cooks the food during the day. I felt like I was at an Italian family diner! It is a Tuscan home cooked meal. It is a hidden jewel in this area. Wonderful veggies, pasta, and meat options! I told the owner I wanted an assortment of veggies. He brought me a plate of all they had there: Green beans, spinach, peas, zucchini, and mushrooms!!! It was a wonderful Tuscan experience and will eat there again!
