Writing a review because after sitting down at this restaurant tonight, I opened up Unilocal and was instantly concerned with our last minute choice because of the bad reviews I saw. However, we got treated extremely well by the waiters and our whole party enjoyed their food and drinks. We got the steak, the American hamburger, the chicken salad, and the club sandwich, too. Very random choices and all extremely well seasoned and tasty. Not sure why this place has such bad reviews! I would go back again

Setting: a Nov Sun night where many restaurants are not open. Mistakening decided to eat here. Service was sullen, food poor. Unfortunate choice without checking Unilocal

Although I don’t always expect the most amazing service when I’m a tourist in a local spot, I don’t expect such terrible service as we received in this spot. We were early for our lunch reservation and stopped in here for a drink. Super weird mix of stuff happening. The place was super dead, totally playing euro-techno like it was a club, and was very off-putting. We weren’t going to order food or more than a drink or two, so we wanted to grab a stool at the bar. Why take up a table? Oh, no. The bartender shooed us away and told us the bar seats were for ‘locals.’ Like our presence alone would scare people away?! Anyone who knows me certainly knows that I don’t dress like an «American tourist.» While I don’t blend into most European cities like I live there(it’s the hair), I don’t look like the stereotypical American tourist. All of the Italian beer on tap was out(allegedly), so we had to experiment with some warm bottled beer. They did serve some nice salty chips, which made the beer more palatable. Took forever to get anyone so we could pay our check. All in all, not a place I’d ever go again; completely uninviting and bordering on rude and off putting. Go elsewhere!

We had just had a daunting travel experience from Venice. We were pretty hungry. And this spot was close to our B & B. The wait staff were pretty rude. The pizza was«soupy.» And our party of 5 had to wait for our pizzas to be cooked 2 at a time. Literally. Each pair were done eating by the time the next pair were served. It was weird.

This will be the last time to stop into a random place for even just a drink. We were waiting for our reservation for lunch somewhere else so we picked out a place to have a drink in the mean time. From the outside it looked super touristy featuring hamburgers and such, but we just wanted a drink so we headed in. We had a seat at the bar while«admiring» the dated and mostly red environment. From the red booths to the red light fixtures this place was obviously trying to give that cool club vibe but they didn’t get close to pulling it off. After sitting at the bar for a couple minutes and witnessing water and sparkling water coming out of two, of their three taps, I got concerned. The bartender approached us and asked us to sit at a booth instead so her Italian customers could quickly consume their espresso at the bar. I get the culture, but this looks like a club! I certainly wouldn’t want my espresso there and at this point not even a cocktail! Mistakenly we stayed and moved to a table. Had a few quick beers, couldn’t find the waitress to pay our check, finally paid and got the heck of their to our tasty lunch. Here is the first review in English so you do not have to make a mistake like me.
