What a welcome sight to see after the difficult trek up to the Piazza Michelangelo in 100 degree weather. The kiosk/café looked like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Were they overpriced, most certainly. Was the service so-so? yep, but given the circumstance that I put myself into(hiking up a steep hill in the middle of July) it was the price to be paid. The ice cream was actually good, but the 2 bottles of 1 liter water were like gold!!! I’m just glad they have something like that available to the poor suckers that attempt the steep hike!

DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYHERE. My boyfriend and I stopped by this evening after walking around the Piazzale Michelangelo. I really needed to use the bathroom, so we asked one of the waitresses if I could buy something and run in. She replied in perfect English, «I’m sorry, but we’re closing.»(This is before 8:30BTW. AT A BAR.) I asked again, but she just threw up her hands and turned away. We asked the other waiter if there was any way for me to run back, but he just started to chew us out(also in English). I am incredibly upset by the way they treated my boyfriend and me. I wish I could give this place a negative review. Extremely disappointed by the rude and insulting staff. Your best bet for drinks is at the bottom of the hill. Better yet, bring a six pack up with your friends.

We were so tired climbing the stairs to Piazzale Michelangelo, the gelato was welcoming. However, the gelato is only ok, and they give very tiny scope. It is probably half size comparing to other Florence Gelato places!
