What a nice treat! After the trek up the hillside we wanted a nice place to quench our thirst and we turned around and saw this nice restaurant. Not a huge selection of wine. Only 3 white and 3 red beyond sparkling, but the views were a treat. The staff was especially attentive.

7 of us ate outside here in May 2015. The food was awful and expensive. Nice view. The pizza seemed to come out of the freezer and was microwaved to heat it up. The pasta and meat sauce tasted like it was from a can a la Chef Boyardee. Seriously bad. The beer was overpriced compared to everywhere we went in Italy include Rome and Venice.

Fantastic view overlooking the entire city, décor a bit dated but feels like you’re in a palace hallway with large columns and high ceilings, tall arched windows. Very fancy and sure to impress. We had the bistecca which was more than enough beef for 4 adults! Great service, polite and to-the-point. I would recommend they update the interior a bit and get rid of the more random half-lounge half-seating areas on the way to the bathroom. Overall a fantastic experience!

Searching for the best view of the city of Firenze? Go to il Piazzale Michelangelo. Looking for an elegant seat with a beautiful bottle of wine to share with loved ones while taking in this magnificent view? Go to La Loggia. Yes, it is on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for in the superior service, extensive drink and wine list, and did I mention the view? I have yet to try the food here, other than what is brought as an aperitivo. After all, when I come here, it is always in the afternoon in between meals, and typically just to awe company. If you do decide to go here for drinks, my advice is to do so maybe around 4pm to enjoy the sunset over the city. Che bella vista!
