We had dinner here while staying at the hotel Fierenze Number 9. We had a great tomato Panzanella salad with perfectly cooked prawns and a very delicate gnocchi with zucchini and zucchini flowers sauce. For main course we had Turbot fish which was roasted in a sealed bag with Zucchini And green peas, thyme and lemon zest, I was not crazy of the flavor(too fishy) plus the light bitterness of the zucchini and lemon zest did not make a great dish. Texture was very gentle though. I think this fish would have neen better pan roasted with the skin crispped. We also had the steak which was pretty good with sage mashed potatoes. Kids had pasta in red sauce which was nice. Gelato for dessert and a great bottle of wine. Service was attentive and since we split dishes they were nice enough to split it in the kitchen. A good option if you are staying at the hotel.

As a Unilocal Elite and blogger I was invited to try this new hotel restaurant on via dei Conti. Le Muse wishes to be seen separately from its hotel and is of course open to all customers. A long and formal entry hall leads to a funky bar area and a formal dining room with nice linens and minimalist floral design. I’m not sure about the large prints on the wall, which seemed like the wrong choice of art. A less formal lunch menu makes it a good location for a quiet and cool business lunch with reasonable prices, while the formal dinner menu puts it in line with some of the area’s top restaurants. I am a bit on the fence in my evaluation of this restaurant. I might even give it 3 stars, but will chalk the few issues up to inexperience. They deserve 5 stars for the attentive service and desire for feedback. It is entirely possible that I didn’t order the best items on the menu, for some of my colleagues enjoyed theirs more. For the full experience, I had an apetizer, secondo and dessert. I actually didn’t see a primo I’d want to eat. One negative was that they didn’t ask if we wanted to allign courses, so while the others ate their primo, I waited about an hour for my next course, which I might have prefered right after the appetizer. The appetizer was a baccalà, normally a salty fish I don’t much like, but this was a smooth cream of baccalà, not too salty, served with baked tomatoes. I found the portion quite large, it could have been shared with someone else. For secondo I had a branzino(white fish) with vegetables. I asked them to switch this dish’s accompaniment and I think they forgot something, because it was too dry and also not enough fish IMO — it was just one piece of filet, rather than the two sides. For dessert my friend and I ordered 2 different ones. I didn’t like her chocolate mousse in cherry sauce, which was too liquid, while I did like my cooked peaches with strawberry sorbet and diced watermelon — flavourful, although a bit strange with 3 different temperatures combined.
