Came here because the reviews on the views, well we were not disappointed! Best place to have an outside dinner at sunset. Make reservations. We arrived at 8 and were promptly seated, they weren’t full yet. Waiter gave recommendations, we ordered. We then never saw our waiter again until the check came, and the only reason we got it is because we asked 2 other staff for it. We requested coke 2x from bus boy, never got it. We wanted more water, but no one even came by to check on more drinks. Empty glasses crowded our table. We received our first course(fried zucchini flowers) after about ½hr, but they were VERY good(warning you only get 3) We finally received bread after being there for and hour. We received 2nd course(ravioli w/pecorini cheese, warning again you only get 3) after an hour n half. Dinner finally arrived after 2hr wait. I had snapper and hubby had lamb, both very good. No one checked on us to see if food was ok and still thirsty. After the 3hr ordeal we just wanted to go do had to chase someone to get the check. IF we had service I would have rated a 5 due to views n food. Also very expensive for the portions.

The food is great and the view is to die for. However be prepared to have a 3 hour dinner. Service is the worst since we have been in Italy. We saw the waiter once when he took our order and never again. They are understaffed with only 3 bus boys. They never cleared the table and I ordered a diet coke that never came. Make reservations for sure together a great view. Loved the view!

This place is a hidden gem in Florence. Amazing views, great food, amazing service. Most likely no reservations are needed, but we arrived when they opened(at 7:30), and got great seats. Perfect time to arrive as well, as we had great views of the whole city during the evening and into the night time! My favorite place to eat in Florence!

Found this place on the first night in town(thanks, Unilocal!) and decided to give it a try. First of all let me mention that it’s in a hotel so before you start getting lost, know that it’s in the Grand Hotel Baglioni. 5th floor. Our servers were AMAZING, and just the kindest people you could ask for. Service is something I care less about anyway unless it’s horrible. I only wish I could remember their names right now. In any case we ate the following(w/individual ratings) Bread with great local olive oil(****) Deconstructed mozzarella and red bell pepper salad w anchovy(***) Deep-fried stuffed zucchini blossoms(****) Orchietti w eggplant(****) Seafood ravioli(*****) Baked pigeon(*****) with Local chianti(server suggestion), 31,00(****) Total with alcohol: 110,00 Well, can’t say enough about any of the food and drink. All was super tasty, and delightful. Fresh ingredients and fine seasoning. And definitely more pricey than the«two euro» rating right now would indicate. But, it is a hotel restaurant. The wine list was not too inflated too, and I’m comparing to American lists. What I also need to mention are the views. From most everywhere in the restaurant there were *good* views, but about half of the restaurant brings *incredible* panoramic views that include the duomo and palazzo vecchio. In short, sublime and supremely romantic for us with such wonderful food thrown in. There is also outdoor seating though it is limited this time of year in a way I couldn’t quite figure out. In any case, we opted out of dessert for some walking and gelato but their menu had temptations. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There was a party with a baby who had a 10 minute episode but even that was just fine by us. maybe almost music to our ears. And speaking of music, their ambient selections varied, and Barry Manilow towards the end of the evening was of particular note. Moving on, we showed up at 9:30 on a Sunday night; the place looked about just quarter full, so the pace was set for overall quiet(but not too quiet), availability of space and service. If I had a ring, I would have proposed all over again. Oh, and we did feel a little underdressed with the likely all-hotel patron crowd. Even so, no one seemed to notice. If we come again, I’d probably wear pants and maybe a nicer shirt. :) Anyway… A beautiful experience. It’s a great way to start off the times here. You shouldn’t be disappointed. You may prepare to pay well, but it’s well-spent. Ciao!

We were staying at the hotel and were trying to figure out where to go for dinner and looking through Unilocal.Right above us is a beautiful restaurant according to Unilocalers. So my husband and daughter head upstairs to do some reconnaissance. They came back and it was decided we would go there. We ordered: Orecchiette, eggplant with scamorza cheese Durum wheat pasta with chili garlic Pasta with meat sauce T bone florentine steak Baked Ribs of lamb Not one bad dish in the lot. The best meal we’ve had in Italy. And the best panoramic views ever. I want to get remarried here! This place is beautiful.
