This is a very clean small hotel close to the train station(SMN). The rooms are small but well equipped. They are remodeling in November –December and will have a larger lobby and elevator. New room décor. What the lack in size they more than make up with staff — very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to a market and the Centrale which is a great place to eat and experience. The street in front of the hotel seems a little sketchy but I found it very safe, even late at night.

This is truly the tale of two hotels. One a 3 and one a 5. In each case, the service was great. Our first night we checked in only to find the room we paid for not ready. We paid for a larger room but were given a super small dingy room. The drapes were moldy. My allegories went wild. After airing it out, we were fine. For the remainder of our trip we were in a lovely large room with tons of space. The room was clean, the bathroom was awesome, and the overall experience was amazing. The service here was truly what benefited this place. Lucas was our main contact. He was helpful and kind. We did have an issue on check out with one person who was rude(I’ll explain the grid). Breakfast in the morning is free and awesome. A person working the breakfast bar prepares coffees of all varieties. I would stay at this place anytime in Florence but only if I got the latter room. The grid: The good: Close to SMN train station Close to Duomo, 8 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio Large nice room(if you pay for it) Clean Great included breakfast Good service The bad: Area is a little seedy due to the lottery bar down the street Mercado Central is full of street vendors so can be intimidating The ugly: City Tax for hotel per person(get a receipt!!!) — almost double paid due to a staff worker not documenting we paid on arrival.

Not the most luxurious hotel but the Money-Location combo was hard to beat

I stayed here for 3 nights on the last leg of my honeymoon. We were greeted by a staff member with a great personality. He smiled the entire time and even gave us directions on a map with stuff to visit. We took all his recommendations and were pleased during our stay in Florence. The room was decent. We were upgraded for free for our honeymoon and was even given a bottle of wine with a sweet note. The room smelt fine and I loved how we could open the windows. I didn’t have an issue with the view. The bed was the best one I slept on throughout my entire 10 day stay in Europe. The bathroom was huge and clean. I had a stain on one of the towels but had enough where I just used it on the floor. I would recommend this place because it is located near the Market, shopping, food, and great bars. I felt safe walking around at night and restaurants were open late nearby.

I had such a great stay at Globus Hotel two weeks ago. The staff are so nice and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Our room was small but very nice, it had the best shower of my stay in Italy. The bed was soft and comfortable and the AC got nice and cold. The location was also ideal as it was walking distance to everything, the Duomo in 5 minutes and the furthest walk as all of 15min. The complementary breakfast in the morning was just perfect. So many options of fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast, pastries. Another plus is this hotel has happy hour every night with wine and nuts, cheeses, honey, and other goodies.
