Intimate place, although there is an upper room, doing light contemporary cuisine(Cuco, get it?). As our waiter said when I complimented the presentation, «as it should be, because every meal begins with the eyes.» Love this place! It was a real treat from beginning to end. It started with the lightest soufflé I have ever eaten, cauliflower indeed. I liked my eggplant, but my partner really lucked out with the wild rabbit entrée which was stuffed with artichoke(in contrast to the other reviews). The house red is a really good Chianti. And we had attentive service and interesting music throught the meal. We definite plan to go back for their contemporary cuisine, a three course meal.

Great little restaurant. Obviously passionate about the food and presentation Fantastic service The food was much more creative than any of the local trattorias I visited Goose carpaccio was super thin, yet oily and succulent The rabbit stuffed with figs and Apple was interesting Three courses and two glasses of wine came to only 42 euros

A very small, unusual place. I ate there with my wife and daughter and we all loved the food and the experience. Don’t let it’s small size deter you; the food is superb. If you’re looking for a family-style pasta bowl, it’s not your place. If you want a friendly and quiet atmosphere, and hip delicious food that will fully surprise and please you with its taste and presentation, you’re on. The service is welcoming and the price is moderate and fair.

Remarkable place. Amazing food. And even better service. #cucocucinacontemporanea was the best meal we had in Florence. 4 courses of truly great food on an improvised menu(for the evening…) of very fresh ingredients. Warmed pear and smoked mozzarella to start with olive oil and a dash of balsamic. The primo, a chicken«meatball» dish that was aromatic and savory with some roasted potatoes. Then the secondi, a dish of rabbit filets wrapping artichokes and a savory mince meat wrapped in zucchini accompanied with a mixed veg and fruit salad with avocado, melon, feta, mint, and red cabbage. Meal closed with a divine chocolate mousse with shaved unsweetened chocolate. #firenze bliss to close out this leg of the trip. If your headed here head HERE as well.

The reviews were promising, so we looked forward to dinner there. Big disappointment. The eggplant parmesan was quite bland. The gorgonzola pasta had a spice or some flavoring item that just made it unappealing. The dish was returned. And there was a distinct arrogance and indignation exhibited(not by the server) in response. An unpleasant evening

Kurz: Wir waren begeistert. Wer also in Florenz etwas anderes für seinen Gaumen möchte außer Pizza, Pasta und Beef Florentiner Art, sollte ins Cuco gehen.

Food is really great here. Yummy options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. A great variety of wines, with a fun environment. Also, even though it’s in the center of the city, there are not many tourists. English speaking.

The best restaurant we ate at during our three days in Florence, and comparable to the best we found in Italy. The décor is not fancy — you don’t have to worry about being underdressed, but the food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I would describe the food as «international modern». We had salads, meat balls, beef carpaccio, and a leek soufflé, all of which were excellent and beautifully presented. Good for lunch — only slightly more expensive than the run of the mill sandwich or pizza places that fill the area but much better. A short walk from tourist sites such as the Duomo.
