I stopped to this café to have a pumpkin spice latte to take away. It was very good. Ambiance and staff seemed very friendly and relaxed too.

Been in Italy for a week now. I love Italian food but needed a break. Walked by and smelled Beef so I came in & ordered up a cheeseburger. Satisfied my craving and very happy. Great friendly staff and service.

The food is decent but the service is terrible. Either this guy is having bad day or he did not want to serve us he could have had a better attitude. He literally was throwing our food at us.

One of the things I absolutely missed having during this last semester was a coffee maker. Seeing as that neither myself or my roommates were going to buy one(who wants to spend money on a new coffee maker when you can travel instead?), we found coffee elsewhere and Astor was one of the places. It was known for being the hangout for the Jersey Shore cast back when they lived in Florence and it’s also a typical spot for American students to grab coffee. Since it was so close to my apartment and on the way to class, I always ended up here. A caffe latte runs you about 2 euros and they are made well; their cappuccinos were pretty good too. Astor was also the only café I found that made iced coffee’s and during the hot and humid days in Florence, they were perfect. They also have a good selection of pastries and also offer lunch and dinner. Service here was always quick and the staff was awesome.

Sometimes when you’re traveling, you just want a taste of home. Luckily, a friend turned this place on to me. Everyone here is super friendly and speaks English and the view of the Duomo is priceless. Wings:(5⁄5) My friends and I were OBSESSED with these so much we ended up ordering them on 3 different occasions over the course of 3 days. Spicy and crispy and perfectly tangy. Drinks:(4⁄5) Very good, stiff drinks. Steak:(4⁄5) We got the biggest steak(forgot what cut it was) and shared it as a table for the 9 of us. It was a great quality and we polished that thing off! Fries:(5⁄5) Damn good. Super crispy and came out piping hot. We sat on the patio and overlooked the throngs of tourists coming in and out of the Duomo. The atmosphere is really laid back during the day. There’s US sports playing on the screens, so if you need to catch up on whats going on, its a great place to be. The servers can also give you great recommendations on Florence’s nightlife. Oh, and tell Tyler(one of the owners) Aling and Nick from Chicago say hi!

If you’re in Florence and trying to juice, this is where u want to go! So far it is the only place I found here! Ingredients are pretty limited but better than nothing!

Awesome burgers and fries. We’ve been in Florence for a week, with two small kids begging for hamburgers. We found Astor while looking for a leather bag. the atmosphere is great, the service is great, the music is great. when you get tired of Italian food, if that’s possible, or if you’re craving some good old fashion fresh tasting american food, run, don’t walk to Astor. They import the ranch dressing from the u.s.a. the food is fresh and delicious. will definitely eat here again before we drive to Venice. PS. the wifi works great. thanks Astor…

When all the peeps in my study abroad program started getting tired of expressos and americanos and started longing for something more from home, we came here for delicious iced coffees. They tasted better than anything I’d ever gotten from Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts. I can’t remember the specifics, but apparently a lot of foreign students come here so they have a special deal for them(sorta like those cards you get from shops and that they stamp for you each time you stop by). If you come here as part of the NYU program, then you’ll probably end up living close by so get this deal! I recommend only coming here for those iced coffees though, since we came here for shots and dancing one night and we came away super disappointed. The place was half-full that night, half-full of a bunch of white ppl dancing horribly and up against each other in ways that make you feel like you’re about to jump into a pool full of sharks(I was just glad they weren’t part of my program). So we just awkwardly sat at a dark table before we eventually got up and left. Service wasn’t bad, and the shots were okay too, just the atmosphere was lacking. Note that Astor in the daytime(a café) is very different from Astor(a bar/pseudo-dance club) in the nighttime. *Tip* There should be a gelato place right next to this place that’s literally ALWAYS open, even late at night, and it’s very good^^

We came across the place walking around by mistake & ended up coming back later on for drinks. Great place, good atmosphere & decent music. one of the few places withing walking distance. So id have to admit reason I wanted to come here was because of the jersey shore show lol… they came here all the time so when I visited id figured why not check it out & see for my self & I was glad I did I had a good time.

Great atmosphere, great people, amazing iced coffee. Chill place to catch some american football on a lazy Sunday or get pumped for a night of partying while listening to the dj. No better starting point for a night on the town in florence. Cheers!
