Porte del Battistero

We bought an all-​access Duomo pass for 10 Euros and headed straight towards the Baptistery. The golden mosaic ceiling was stunning. Dante’s Satan was scary with 3 heads and eating humans. It was fun seeing the baptismal fountain that Robert and Sienna used as a water source to wipe down Dante’s death mask in «Inferno» by Dan Brown. We also got to see the backside of the Gates of Paradise where they entered in. Be sure to head over to the Museo dell’Opera di Santa Maria Del Fiore to see the real thing though!

Magnificas puertas talladas en bronce. Una obra maestra de la escultura renacentista. Es una pena que estén en el museo y no en el baptisterio.

There is a ton to see here in Florence so stop by and see these huge doors. 1401 a competition to design doors which would eventually be placed on the north side of the baptistry. Original located on the east side of the, but later moved to the north side of the baptistry after Ghiberti completed his second commission, known as the «Gates of Paradise.»

every part of this area is worth the climb to see the view-​but be prepared! It is steep and tiring!

N hésitez pas a prendre un audio pour 2,5EUR. Un deuxième vous est systématique offert. Simple et instructif il vous explique les différentes scènes peintes mais aussi l histoire du lieu. Pour une fois le staff qui surveille la visite est accueillant et professionnel. Pas comme le dôme en face !!

Le baptistère Saint-​Jean-​Baptiste (battistero di San Giovanni) à Florence est situé sur la place du Dôme.
Jusqu’à la fin du 19ème siècle, tous les Florentins y étaient baptisés. La porte dorée est vraiment monumentale. A voir

Les portes du Battisterio sont merveilleuses. On pense que la renaissance est commençée avec la competition pour realiser la porte nord. Fantastique!

Dont miss to walk up to the tower. On the left side of the dome there are thousands of tourists waiting to use the elevator. On the right side (just go round the dome) you can walk (!) up to the tower for as far as I remember 6 EUR/​person. Its a terrific view from up there.

Situado justo delante de la catedral, es un edificio pequeño en el cual se encuentran las famosas puertas del paraiso talladas a mano, son increibles. Antiguamente es donde bautizaban a los niños.

Sin duda maravilloso, son cosas impresionantes las que puedes encontrar en Florencia, sobre todo la heladería donde hacen los mejores helados de toda Italia.
La plaza donde se encuentra este Baptisterio, sus fachadas, de un color verdoso y blanco. Vamos una autentica obra de arte.
Lo único que veo pesado y deberían poner remedio son a los giris ambulantes, ya que andan detrás de ti para a ver si le compras algún artilugio falsificado como son cuadros.
El lugar donde se encuentra el baptisterio está muy bien comunicado con todos los lugares de Florencia. No es dificil perderse una vez sabes el camino.

Famoso edificio de Florencia, sobre todo por sus puertas de bronce, las llamadas Puertas del Paraíso. Se encuentra delante del Duomo y servía para bautizar a los florentinos, como Dante. El interior es muy bonito, merece la pena pagar la entrada para ver los mosaicos del suelo y el magnífico techo donde se representan distintos pasajes de la Biblia, entre ellos el Juicio Final.
