Sandy Nails

Always accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Sandy nails has been amazing, I have gone there twice so far for acrylics and I plan on being a long time customer to come. The place is so clean and they even offer you a hot drink on arrival. They have to be the cheapest place in Dublin too for all your nails needs and have an amazing set up! So professional.

Lovely clean premises and got offered a lovely cup of tea.
My friend and I went for the spa pedicure and manicure.
Everything was grand, it was quiet and staff seemed sound.
The newest member of staff whilst using a blade cut my friends heel quite badly, I know that s#*# happens but it was the behaviour afterwards that made me join Unilocal to review.
My friend was pumping blood they tried to put it that hardening stuff that blocks nicks and scrapes in to a gash my mate was screaming.
The young staff member was nearly in tears the two other senior staff came over and tried to fix it.
They had to go to the chemist and buy bigger plasters even then my friend bled through two of them.
They held my friends foot wouldn’t let her look there was no communication.
They lifted my friends skinny jeans up to her knee where it got stuck and it pushed the blood out more we had to cut her out.
We stayed as they said we would get a our treatments for free and she wasn’t a casualty case.
What happened next got our goats there were three members of staff when we went in there was one other customer while we were getting our nails done, ten new customers arrived. They ignored us and never turned anyone away so it was packed and the service we got was awful.
My friends nails they never bothered removing the nail varnish from her fingers or properly sorting out her cuticles.
My feet feel like a worn down pumice, my feet are awful anyway but they just feel like they’ve been moisturised overnight, I could do that at home.
We were left there like tools for two hours on those massage seats which are lovely at first but wear you down and hurt you like a bad boyfriend.
We eventually freed ourselves from the equipment and went to leave they were busy with other customers the most senior one came over and said that I had to pay for my manicurevas there was a miscommunication.
My back is destroyed my mate is limping it was like a scene out of bridesmaids two.
I feel bad writing a bad Unilocal review but feck it my back is in bits and I woke up grumpy.
If that situation didn’t happen I would say the place is savage to one or two friends but it did so I’m writing a Unilocal review.

Had a shellac manicure here a couple of months ago and fully agree with the previous reviewer Amanda.
The girls are great, one of the best manicures, actually scratch that it was the best I’ve had and I’ve had a few over the past few years.
The pricing is seriously competitive and I’ve sent quite a few pals here since who have been well impressed too. Add to that their late evening opening times and its a winner winner chicken dinner.
Do it.

Oh no :-(I had to give an extra star as the second girl really did try and salvage things but the worst gel overlay I have ever received. And to top it off I was ther for 2 hours and 20 mins. It’s nicely decorated and well situated but 50% more for services than my usual place and I hate the result. Badly blended and the first girl had no English. None! So I couldn’t get her to understand what I actually wanted at all, the girl who took over when I was getting upset by the state of them did a better job but they are still not well done at all.
Won’t be returning!

I love this place. € 20 quid for shellac on the hands is an awesome deal! The girls are friendly and professional, the place is clean and spacious inside, and they provide a great service… Seriously, what more could you want?!
It’s been relatively quiet when I’ve been in, but I’m sure they’ll start getting busier in the next few months. They’ve a great price list including manicures, pedicures, brow waxing etc Some the nails I’ve seen being done are epicly spectacular looking, so the ladies have skills! I prefer block colour, but I may be swayed eventually!
I’ll be back (said in a girly version of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice)!
