Always accommodating, lovely staff and they do a fantastic job on my nails. Treated myself to the coconut mani/​pedi offer and it was bliss! They are so professional and thorough. I have never been a nails kind of gal but now I love treating myself by going there :)

Sunday — prosecco day! I booked in for a coconut manicure and pedicure and was offered prosecco, which I think is a very nice touch.
Got my nails done by a lovely lady, good treatment as always. I now know to go to 5^th Avenue off peak add it’s a much better environment and you aren’t rushed out.
Feet are lovely and scrubbed well and smell of coconut — yay!!!

In Dublin angekommen, aber die Wochen davor kaum Zeit gehabt meinen Händen etwas Liebe zu widmen, war ich am Wochenende auf der Suche nach einem Nagelstudio. Auf Unilocal gesucht und was sah ich da — sämtliche Nagelstudios habe auch Sonntags auf. Waaaas??? Angerufen, Termin vereinbart und sofort hin!
Hier gibt es verschiedene Maniküren zur Auswahl; es gibt eine Mini-​Mani (dauert 20 Minuten inklusive Nägel feilen und Nagellack), Lux Mini Manicure (feilen, einkremen, exfoliation und Nagellack) und VIP Maniküre, unter anderem.
Wir haben uns für die Mini Maniküre entschieden, die 13 € kostet. Hier gibt es auch eine recht große Auswahl an Essie und Opi Nagellack, aber auch andere Marken. So habe ich mich dann für eine etwas ausgefallene Farbe entschieden, die ich nicht überall sonst finden kann.
Wunderbar! So einen Ort wünsche ich mir auch in Frankfurt!

The best nail salon in Dublin. I have tried many places, but I always came back. I have never had a bad manicure here. The prices are reasonable, too.

Lidia did my Acrylic fill and Pedicure. she does a great job. i have had acrylic overlay on my nails for at least 15 years. I know how i like them to look and Lidia was very good the first time I went in the shop she took her time to understand what I was looking for and make sure my nails looked the way I wanted them too. They are longer nails and so somewhat difficult to work on, but she did a fantastic job. I had already booked my pedicure with another salon closer to where we were staying so I didn’t get a pedicure the first visit. I learned my lesson. It was time for a fill and color change so I booked both with Lydia she did a wonderful job. She shows great attention to detail. this will be my go to spot for fills when in Dublin.

This is my favourite place in Dublin for shellac nails, i always find myself going back for a treat, like a reliable friend, you always know what you are going to get. A little tough on the preparation of the nails this time but nevertheless the usual great results acheived

This place is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. They can always find an appointment slot for me even on the same day and the service is great. I’ve had shellac a few times and a brilliant pedi too.

I got my shellac nails for my holiday about 3 weeks ago. I was happy with the result so I went to try a different style today. Even though my request was a bit tricky, the staff was really patient and did great job. Happy to finally find the best nail bar in Dublin.

A friend bought me a voucher for here which I used this week. I was really happy with the quality of the shellac manicure and my mini pedi. I’ve seen some previous reviewers post about not liking that the therapists don’t chat to you but that is bliss to me. I’m perfectly happy if I’m never asked again by someone I don’t know where I’m going on my holidays. Very reasonably priced too. I got the 2 treatments for € 50. The place is pretty busy and I didn’t really like the downstairs area as it’s got no windows or airflow which isn’t great with all the nail painting going on.

I’ve been to many a nail salon in Dublin in search for the best quality manicures in town and from all my experiences I’ve settled on 5^th avenue as the place to go. And by settled, I don’t mean settling in quality! They have a wide array of different polishes and colours and I’ve never had a bad manicure done there, whether ‘normal’ polish or shellac, regardless of who was doing my nails on the day. The price is not the cheapest in town but also not the most expensive and if you want quality I think it’s to be expected to pay at least mid range price, so I think for the high quality you get, the price is fair. The place is always busy so it is recommended to book ahead, I wouldn’t chance just walking in — I’ve done it on occasion but would recommend booking ahead if you can. I also get my waxing done here so it’s like a one stop shop and always happy with those results too.
Because it is quite busy I’d say it’s not the place if you want to have a relaxing pampering, but for someone like me who is often rushing from one place to the next I actually like that they are pretty fast. I recommend this place to anyone who asks me where to get their nails done over any place I’ve been to in Dublin.

I’ve been here a couple of times, twice I got the eyebrow wax and one I got the «Girl in The City» manicure. Both times I was really happy with the results– the eyebrow wax in particular is really well done and they really take the time to make sure the shape is just right for your face.
The place is always jam packed so it’s important to make an appointment at least early the day of if not a few days before. There are probably more than 15 therapists working the nail bar at any one time; they don’t chat much but it’s quite comfortable and relaxing to just sit and be pampered. The treatments are quick but it doesn’t feel like you’re being rushed.
This was the first manicure I ever got– I have pretty good nails and I’ve always been into looking after them myself– but I wanted to see how the professionals would do it so I could learn a few new tricks. I loved the cuticle cutter– had a really nice result and made my nails look so much more even. Definitely going to find one and try for myself– although I might leave it to the professionals, for fear of amputating my fingers!
There’s a decent colour choice, the standard paint is Essie and then you can choose to pay 5 euro more for either a long-​lasting quick-​drying polish or for a french manicure.
The pricing is very reasonable and it’s always very tempting to load up on different treatments every time you go there.
My manicure had such a nice finish and my nails were perfectly shaped. The polish lasted probably 5 or 6 days without chipping– far longer than I’ve ever managed myself!
Worth a try– just make sure you get an appointment.
I would give a five star for the waxing treatment, and if I could, I’d give a 4.5 for the rest, but only because it doesn’t quite have that luxury spa feel.

On the upside. my nails (shellac) where gorgeous and stayed perfect without a scratch for weeks. The girls who work here are really good at their job and know what they are doing. On the downside. everything seems abit rushed they want you in and out as quickly as possible. The tables are close togheter and there is lots of conversation going on. but thats between the staff. and its not in english! I felt abit uncomfortable the woman doing my nails didnt say one word to me! I just sat and listened to them all speaking in their language and laughing away which actually made me a bit paranoid to be honest haha! I think there should be more interaction with their costumers to make a more relaxing environment so you can enjoy your pampering! :)

Went yesterday for my manicure that im getting done once every month but with my surprise the experience was not nice as I remember at the reception the girl that check my appointment was pretty rude and dry she look at me head to toe in an unpleasant way… my manicure was good as always, but clearly felt very uncomfortable

It was packed — make sure you get your appointment in. We came here with a group of friends, but it’s near impossible to be seated next to each other due to how busy they are.
I got the fifth avenue manicure — at first I was a bit disappointed at how quickly I was scooted through… it was kind of like a supply chain line. However, I think that although they were quick, they were also super efficient and the quality of the manicure was top notch. My lovely (basic) manicure lasted a week and a half without a single scratch… that’s pretty amazing. I might just have to come back in the future for more…

I came here again to try a facial since I found the prices much more reasonable than other Dublin beauty salons which charge about 80 – 100 euro, while 5^th Avenue’s prices are about 75 euro for a 75 minute Yon Ka facial, 35 for a mini facial (30 mins), and 95 for microdermabrasion.
The beauty therapist was really friendly and professional, gave lots of helpful advice and did my facial really nicely. Yon Ka products can smell a bit funny but I found my skin felt so much better afterwards.
My one star deduction is that it’s not the spa-​like atmosphere (with a heated blanket!) you may experience in the other more expensive salons. It’s in a small room at the back of the salon, and you get a fluffy little blanket but I still found the room a tad cold but bearable.
Otherwise, the treatment itself was really good despite lack of cosy spa atmosphere.

I’m quiet fussy when the subject is manicure, I normally go to a Brazilian girl, who is exceptional, but I was invited by a friend who normally comes to 5^th Ave to get the nails done, I need to confess that I didn’t expect much, but since then I have been going back to there every 2 weeks to get the Girl In The City Manicure and I found this girl called Nelly, she is the best. If you like to get your cuticles done go with her.

When I rang to book my pedicure, I was told I got the last appointment of the day so I should be on time as they close at 6pm Sundays. Fair enough if a little blunt. The girl who looked after me (Susan) was lovely. My feet were soaked, scrubbed and massaged, nails clipped and hard skin removed. She didn’t mind me laughing when she worked on the bottom of my feet, I’m awfully ticklish which can be awkward with some people. The colour was applied carefully and with precision and I’m very happy with the outcome. I took off 1 point for the colour selection. As I was one of the last ones that day, most colours were all over the salon. I initially wanted a coral tone but there was none left on the shelf.

I was so excited when this place opened so decided to check them out one day.
On a cold and rainy day a couple of months ago, my friend and I spontaneously decided to get a Pedicure. Despite being walk-​ins, they were able to accomodate us quite quickly. So far, so good! However, once we were taken to the pedicure room downstairs, we were quite disappointed. The two ladies who did our pedicures were neither very friendly nor did they even introduce themselves to us. I don’t want to be best friends but I would expect them to at least greet me hello? Instead, they just told us to sit down.
Once we had sat down we asked whether they had disposable flip flops or quick-​drying spray, and they were completely surprised that we hadn’t brought flip flops. It’s a cold and rainy day and I’m a walk-​in customer — do you REALLY expect me to carry around a pair of flip-​flops in my (tiny) handbag? One of the girls let out a fairly annoyed sigh when we asked her whether they could check if they had any spare flip flops left.
Long story short, they only had one pair, which resulted in me having to run around in the city in said flip flops after having gotten my pedi, trying to find a store selling — you guessed it — flip flops so my friend wouldn’t have her manicure ruined. No luck, even after 20 minutes of asking around, so I had to return empty-​handed. They didn’t have any quick-​dry spray (which is highly unusual for a nail salon) and so we ended up having to sit around the salon for a good 30 minutes after our pedicure was done. After that time, we decided to risk ruining the pedicure because we didn’t want to spend any more time there.
While they did a good job at the Pedicure itself, I really do think their service leaves a lot to be desired. If you don’t have flip flops and the customer doesn’t have any — at the very least they could have sent someone to buy quick-​drying spray or come up with another solution. Also — the people working for your salon are your PR. If they can’t even manage to do a little bit of chit chat, you might want to consider training them in customer service.
Won’t be back — the lack of service and not-​so-​friendly staff doesn’t give me any incentive to do so.

Yes, 5^th Avenue = 5 stars.
The First Star is for friendly, experienced staff and management. This is the second location for 5^th Avenue Nails which started out in Cork
Speaking of two, Star #2 for two levels with the best massage pedicure chairs in town downstairs. This is great if you don’t want the world to see your feet/​watch your pedicure. Me likey.
Star Three: Jobs, jobs, jobs. As in they do an awesome one with great colour choices, including shellac.
The Fourth star is for fair pricing, given level of service and there’s a nice menu of options, so you can nail down what you want.
And 5^th, the place has a nice, neutral décor that would be at home anywhere including the real 5^th Avenue in New York City. No pink here. Men will feel welcome. So, take 5 and get your nails done right! I HEART 5A.
