I left a very bad previous review last time as the special style ramen was way too salty and over all food was weird. This time I tried it again and only their signature classic ramen this time. This time it tasted well, soup is drinkable and not overly salty nor fatty. The char siu are thin sliced but acceptable. I can’t say this place is exceptional at all level, but their soup for the traditional ramen seems good. I think they can improve in many ways, such as the egg to be less cooked, char siu being thicker and to be more like how it supposed to be. Anyhow, it turned out to be worth visiting, but I am not adventurous enough to try their other kind of ramen. Japanese focus on making one thing really well. The menu featuring ten different types of ramen might suggest to you why this place might not be the best for ramen.

Ramen… So good on a chilly day. Likes: able to personalize the ramen noodles: soft, medium, or hard? No problem! More pork? Sure! More veggies? Sure! Eggs? Sure! The ramen broth is just right! Dislikes: the squid balls appetiser is a big NOGO. A waste of space. Just stick to the ramen and you’ll leave with a happy tummy. They have 2 small 2 person tables. One big communal square table and bar space. So bringing a big party here can be tricky. Yummy in my tummy!

My first foray into Hong Kong Ramen! Not bad. I really liked the fact that I could personalized my Ramen. I asked for thicker & harder noodles, a first for a Ramen experience. The pork cheek and tenderloin was exceptional.

When it comes to ramen in Central, you might have heard of the one that starts with letter B. But that one will take about half an hour to get a seat for sure. For people who only have an hour for lunch, that is definitely not a good sign. So how about walk for a few more blocks and come to this place instead? You will not miss this restaurant as this is just located on the same street where there is a fitness centre and the Central footbridge is just next to it. Easily-accessible — Perfect. They definitely have more options than just four, which cannot be bad.. I have only been to here twice so I have not tried them all. The price is around HKD$ 80 to a hundred, which could be quite pricey but expected. If I have to pick my favourite, I have to go with the crap soup one. That is mainly because crap soup is rather rare to come by, let alone those with good quality. The broth has a rather strong flavor but not too much that you feel like you are chugging MSG; it is nicely balanced with the spring onions and other side dishes. As for the pork here, unfortunately the other place serves better ones; not like theirs are not good but just that their competitor has better ones. Overall, I like it here but I will still suggest those who have time to go for another one as they are almost the same prize and slightly better.
