Legit airport food in Hong Kong. Line was semi-long but it went by fast and food came out within 5 minutes. I had their Singapore style noodles and finished the whole plate, it was that good. The menu had pictures and English names so it was easy to order.

Located inside the Hong Kong airport. Second floor. Always a line at this place. You stand and give your order and pickup is just minutes away. Authentic Congee and Chinese offerings. Always busy, always fast. Yes they even serve roasted duck. All of this inside the airport. That’s why Hong Kong is one of my favorite stops!

Makes you forget that you’re eating airport food. I’m not a fan of congee and this place made some pretty delicious congee that I would eat any day of the week. The dim sum is on point and beef chow fun was amazing and not too oily. The main star of our dishes was the suckling pig. The skin is thin and crispy. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it now. Also, It looks like a long wait to order but the line moves quickly. If you’re with a group, divide and have some ppl look for seats. Tables are hard to come by because the Chinese love to hog tables even if they aren’t eating.

Amongst the various fast food outlets in the food court within the restricted area of HKG airport is a branch of this congee & noodle place. In need of something reasonably edible before having to endure yet another long haul flight on CX I opted for brunch here. I was astonished to subsequently discover that the Wan Chai branch of ‘tasty’ congee & noodle wantun shop holds 1 Michelin star! The food I ordered looked and tasted average. Having tried a few disappointing 1 Michelin star places in HK on this visit leads me to wonder what criteria the HK Michelin guide judges use to rate HK restaurants? Awarding this place 1 Michelin star is the equivalent of rating places like Café de coral and KFC one star!

Yay for airport food! HK’s got great GREAT food! I’ve always loved Hong Kong’s bbq pork rice. After the God of Cookery movie(i saw as a child) it really does remind of HK. And as I was leaving HK this place gave me a little reminder of why I always go back. They were generous with the amount of bbq pork they gave me, the vegetables were cooked well in oil, and the rice absorbed all that goodness. Oh they also sell beer, which I had 3 of right before my flight, which made it much more enjoyable!

Good airport food. Very organized. Some entrees were oily though. The flat noodles in particular. The crispy noodles with pork ok. Beef brisket and tendon noodle soup was good although it looked small.

Please stay away from this restaurant. We got food poisoning from the beef fried rice noodles in this place on 8⁄20. Me, my husband and my mom had our dinner here when we were flying from Hong Kong to Taipei on 8⁄20. I ordered roasted honey pork and duck rice. My mom ordered soup wonton. My husband ordered beef cho fun(fried rice noodles). I had three bites of my husband’s food. He ate the whole dish. One and half hours later I started having terrible stomach pain and threw up in the plane on our way to Taipei. When we arrived, my husband started throwing up. He was throwing up for 5 hours that night in our hotel in Taipei! We finally sent him to the emergency room of a local hospital! We were very sure the problem was the beef cho fun from this restaurant because we didn’t eat or drink anything else that night! My mom didn’t touch the beef cho fun and she was fine the whole time.

I can’t believe that I have never written anything about this place! This is among my favorite congee and noodle places in all of Hong Kong. Try the seafood congee and you’ll see what I’m talking about! There’s also sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf and wonton noodles available! The vermicelli rolls they serve are awesome; I strongly recommend the ones wrapped in large shrimp, scallops, or baby shrimp! Yes, this place is more expensive than Café de Coral next door, which probably has a line around the food court, but you really get what you pay for in this airport! The quality of the food here is outstanding. Even for Hong Kong! Compared to New York, portions are relatively small. Guess it’s one of the reasons Hong Kongers are so skinny! I always order multiple portions, of course! Must represent the overweight American stereotype!

Airport food that taste good??? Yes — that is possible! Probably one of the longest lines in the food court — but it’s decent food! Not one of those not so good airport food courts. We had ordered: — Beef rice noodle — Roasted Goose and Rice — Wonton Soup — Flavour Infused tea The soup was really good! The goose was really good but could do with more sauce… The beef rice noodle — a little hot sauce and it was great! Beware of the teas though — they are really sweet!

So I was unable to fit in a meal of wonton mein in HK, so I had to make do with the airport version. I was looking for something not too heavy and this place has a number of options for a lighter appetite. They had a morning special of congee and dimsum dish for HK$ 98 but I opted for the wanton with noodles, HK$ 55. The line moved fairly quickly and it was definitely shorter than some of the other lines(I’m looking at you ridiculous McD’s line). My order was also super quick, I got it only a few minutes after paying, and ahead of about 10 – 15 other orders. The wonton mein was good, it was not a huge bowl but enough to satisfy with about 5 wontons under a bed of thin egg noodles and filled with a tasty broth. Personally I enjoyed the broth quite a bit, really getting in there to scoop out every last drop. If you are looking for something to eat at HKIA this is definitely a solid choice.

My 100th review! I was told by my friends that I should check out the congee at this place which is located at the airside and I was not disappointed. It’s like a fast food restaurant style which you order your food and wait for your number to collect, after that finding a place may be a challenge depending on how crowded the place is. At that time, there were many flights and the place was pretty full, fortunately I found a seat within minutes after collecting my meal. Price is reasonable and gosh for an airport food, I enjoyed every spoonful of congee with the liver and minced meat entering my mouth! Absolutely delicious! It’s certainly worth spending some time to enjoy a meal and even for friends who are not into congee, they also appreciate the quality. When I drop by HKG airport the next time, I would certainly come back here and possibly try other flavours! So yeah, this gets my thumb up! One of the better eating places and certainly value for $$ over here.

Definitely one of the better places to eat at in the Hong Kong airport. Portion sizes aren’t incredibly huge but who wants to sit on a plane for several hours overly stuffed? Their BBQ pork over noodles with oyster sauce was truly amazing. The shrimp wonton noodle soup while good isn’t stellar but get’s the job done. This kind of food anywhere else in HK would be dirt cheap so I can see how people think it’s overpriced here but what other choice do you have at this point? Definitely a fan of this place, the food comes out lightning quick and piping hot. Only drawback is it’s pretty difficult to find a place to sit in the dining area, especially if you’re with more than one person.

3.5÷5 stars Drop by this restaurant(in the airport) on our way home and it was so good. I can’t get over how awesome the noodles are in HK. The texture and crunchiness of the noodles are things I cannot find in the US!

The portion size was small but it was exactly what I was craving. A delicious bowl of HK egg noodle soup with shrimp wonton. #52 — highly recommend if you’re looking for a soul warming bowl of soup.(And also infinitely better than the overcooked and overpriced ramen at Ajisen.

This is airport fast food in HK, I LOVEIT! We needed a snack after just getting off our 15 hour flight from Newark. This totally hit the spot. We got the rice noodle rolls with dried shrimp(cheong fun), Roast pork bao, and shrimp dumplings, along with some noodle soup with roast pork. They were all very tasty and well cooked.

One of the most popular restaurants in the Hong Kong airport’s international terminal, Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun Shop serves a wide selection of Hong Kong cuisine dishes, but its signature dish is the wonton noodle. Although I believe there is a reason for the establishment’s popularity, I unfortunately failed to see this reason because I thought the food was overpriced, small-portioned, and mediocre. Admittedly this is my first HK-style wonton noodle, so I will critique only the taste: it was tasteless. While the noodle was understandably tasteless, the broth was also pathetically tasteless. I thought it was hilarious about how the tray mat pamphlet claimed the meticulous work behind the making of the broth, because I thought the broth tasted like the same water that was used to cook the wonton dumplings and the noodles and added with some salt and onion(Sadly, I knew how that tasted because I did the same thing when I cooked frozen dumplings and was too lazy to make a separate soup). The only thing that is stopping me from completely slamming this place was the wonton dumplings because those were actually pretty solid! I truly enjoyed how much flavor this little thing packs, and the fresh shrimps within were certainly the reason why the wonton dumplings were so great. Overall though, I was extremely disappointed and left unfulfilled because the mediocre dish came in such a small portion despite the high price the restaurant charged. I wish I used the money elsewhere to get more dim sum dishes instead, and if the wonton noodle here is as authentic as it can get, I don’t think I want to get another wonton noodle. — tl;dr version: 1. Overpriced 2. Small portion 3. Mediocre and flavorless

Good stop for a quick bite between flights. Finding seating is a bit dicey and it is a bit pricey(it is in the terminal after all…) but well worth it after a long flight filled with airline food.

A perfect last stop for a bowl of noodles before boarding your plane, before you have to face some awful airplane meal and maybe to somewhere where a good bowl of wonton noodle is hard to find. If you haven’t tried their noodles, you definitely should. It’s as perfect as a bowl of Cantonese wonton noodle can get. The noodles fine and springy, with a good bite, the broth flavorful but not overpowering, the wonton succulent, with fresh pink shrimps showing through the light, thin wrapper. Beware though, it may totally raise your bar so high, you’ll never be happy with an average bowl of wonton soup again.

This location is in the international airport after you go through security but before heading off to the gates. This is part of a chain and is a little bit pricier than if you were at the regular restaurant. But that’s to be expected… this is IN the airport… So the quality is just as good as the restaurant. Portions are a bit smaller. The noodles are good and what you would expect. Tasty with just the right amount of crunch! Soup is tasty too! Hot and not too salty. This location is quick and efficient. Since it is in a food court area it may be a challenge to find seating. There seems to be always a lot of people just waiting for their flights… but its nice and clean. Very enjoyable.
