Recommended by Michelin Guide =) Had a late dinner with the gf one night when we were in HK. I wouldn’t have known about this restaurant if it wasn’t for one of the ladies passing out flyers downstairs in the street. We got there around 10PM. Initually, they told us that they didn’t have room for us because of several large banquets going on at the time. Seeing our disappointed faces, the lady said okay and took us in. They put together a table quickly in one of the side rooms that also had a tv showing Cantonese drama. I can only read a very limited amount of Chinese, so I just went with dishes that others had recommended on other websites I came across. I got the baked seasame and salted chicken and ginger fried rice topped with strands of fresh fish(I believe the waiter said it’s a rock cod). On top of the chicken and fried rice, the waiter also recommended a shrimp in a light, buttery soy sauce topped with garlic. All the dishes were unbelievably good, something that you just can’t get in the US. Chicken was super soft and the skin on it was thin and crispy with minimal fat on it. Fried rice was cooked with just the right amount of flavor and the fish tasted fresh. Food in HK is generally good, but this meal had to be my favorite during my 10 days in HK/Macau. Definitely swing by if you’re shopping in the Causeway Bay area, although I believe they have 2 other locations in HK. Please see their website. They also do dim sum during the day. This review is for their dinner only during February 2015.
