Peking Garden Restaurant

The Peking Duck was delicious but the service was awful and when I complained they really didn’t seam to care. They took whatever you want off the menu just to get you out the door and on to the next victim. I really don’t think they understand how bad I was telling them the service sucked. But they understood the table beside mine because she was telling them in Chinese and was loud and serious about it.

so i visited this place and ordered some set with beijing duck and a fruit plate and stuff like that. food was really good, but they tried to scam us. they charged us for an extra beijing duck and fruit plate which cost another 1000 hkd. they also charged us for tea, when we had water. when we told the waiter about the extra items he charged, he got extremely nervous and «corrected it». he then gave us a tiny receipt with just the amount due, which was suspicious so we then asked for an itemized receipt. the waiter refused, until we asked him a second time. we just decided to pay and leave but checked the receipt the next day, and found out we paid an extra 1000 hkd for the meal. be careful out there

Our first meal in Hong Kong! This place was really good and really expensive! Dinner for 2 without alcohol = $ 120 USD. Also it was a little bizzare because we ordered appetizers and an main dish, but it was all served at the same time. The garlic shrimps were outstanding! And the BBQ pork ribs appetizer was to dye for. We also ordered mango juice and it was as good as back home (in Colombia) although served room temperature. I would have to recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Chinese meal!

Food is good for what it is & service great. Pricey but not a gamble if you want good food in an upscale environment — so safe. While high quality, well prepared & presented it feels to me to be the Cantonese version of Beijing food vs. straight up Beijing food.
