I definitely prefer Pacific Coffee over Starbucks. It goes back to the days when phones weren’t that smart… When I traveled to Hong Kong, the generous gesture of Pacific Coffee to offer free use of several Apple computer for customers to go online was much appreciated. You can buy a cup of coffee and sit there to get emails from home, and do whatever you need online. Nowadays with smart phones and free wifi everywhere, unlike the old days, the Mac sits mostly unused now, but it’s still nice to have them. Okay, besides the free computers, this coffee shop is pretty nice by itself. Good coffee, and a slightly more varied menu, including desserts and tea. This location is at the basement of Langham Place. They have lots of seats but it’s still not easy to find an empty chair as so many people needs a place to rest their legs after shopping. Service is really nice too. For some reason they don’t put the milk out next to the sugar, but when we asked, the guy cleaning the table offered to bring a cup of milk to us. And we only have a small cup of iced coffee, nothing fancy, so it’s nice customer service.

Nice place to sit down and relax… if one can find a table. Some of the drinks are a tad pricey. Had a lemon tea that was super-strong on the lemon. Also had a kalamansi mango juice($ 25HKD) bottled. This one was quite lovely. The lime was refreshing without being sour. The mango was more a background note than anything. Also had a wild elderflower bubbly($ 28HKD) bottled. My first time trying elderflower anything. Still not sure what elderflower tastes like. This drink tasted subtly like lychee with a faint bitter aftertaste.
