This little French restaurant, although not being as glamorous as the other fancy ones around the newly renovated Wan Chai, has been full of surprise. Before talking about the food, I want to say that the staff here are very cheerful, giving us a great positive boost after a dreadful day of work. They are very helpful all the way too, which made us feel like home. I noted that one of them had been having a great chat and taking pictures with 2 ladies from the PRC — great hospitality to the tourists indeed! As of the food, me and my hubby have ordered a tuna salad as a starter, a steak spaghetti, a rosemary pineapple waffle, a chocolate coconut crêpe and 2 French beer. The tuna of the salad has been nicely seared, served with olive, artichoke, tomato and specially dressed with an olive dressing, which gave the salad a special touch. The steak spaghetti was very nice too. The mushroom sauce was very rich and the mushroom was a special type which I cannot tell its name. The rosemary pineapple waffle was indeed a special one, the fresh pineapples were cooked with rosemary and the waffle itself was so specially flavoured but perfectly matched with the pineapple. The chocolate coconut crêpe resembled those I tried in Provence. The home-made ice cream was so good to go with the chocolate-based crêpe, chocolate sauce plus grounded coconut, which made the meal complete. I truly believe that the chef has put some effort in making the food here special and real good, tho it cannot be told from the appearance. I will definitely be back again.

Oh, man. I REALLY enjoy the food here, but the servers can be incompetent. Eeeek. I’ll start off with the good things first :) I LOVE their eggs benedict. The delicious bread it’s on in lieu of english muffin is to die for. It’s so hard to find good bread in HK so I am SOLD based on that alone! I wish it came with a side other than a random«salad»(read: lettuce) with vinegrette(who the F wants salad for breakfast), because at $ 120 that’s a tad steep… They used to serve hashbrowns with it but don’t anymore for some reason. But the hashbrowns were disgusting so maybe that’s why lol. But something else on the plate besides filler salad would be nice! So my boyfriend and I came here today and each ordered the eggs benedict. Mine was delicious, but one of his eggs was soooo uncooked, like clear and watery. He mentioned it to the waitress and she took it back… we expected her to just bring him a new half order. Simple fix, right? How much can a damn poached egg, slice of bread and few tablespoons of hollandaise really set the place back, $ 5? Well she brought the same plate back, having obviously just stuck it under the broiler lol. It looked so lame and ghetto. He said«no thanks» and she took it away… Then she brought us the cheque for the full amount… we had to ask to get some kind of a discount since he only got to enjoy half of the dish. Stuff like this happens in Hong Kong ALLLL the time. Servers need to get. a. CLUE. I will say, that’s the only thing something like that has happened. Though if they’ve done something so obviously fixable to us, I’m sure they’ve done it to others. Tightening up the service would kick this place up a notch! Delicious fresh juices here, too :)

It was so refreshing to find something other than noodles for breakfast. We met the owner Matthew and he was amazing. I really wanted a waffle which they didn’t serve until 2pm. He was nice enough to accommodate me hours early. It was absolutely delicious! What a nice, cozy spot.
