If you’re a small child(or an adult with a love for Moomin), this is where you’ll want to visit for the cute-factor alone. If not, you’ll be sorely disappointed. PROS. + Extremely adorable decorations(all Moomin themed) + Decent service(as well as servers that will come by and plop a giant Moomin plush next to you for a dining companion) + Careful attention to detail in the plating of themed menu items CONS. — Very bland & average food/drink — A little pricey considering how meh the food is It was a cute enough experience, and as a Moomin-lover, I was planning on checking it out anyways, but I don’t think it’s worth a return trip(or a visit if it’s not in your immediate area in the mall!).

When you get there, make sure you first go to the machine and get a ticket. Waited a few minutes for my table and was seated next to two moomin characters. I’m not too familiar with moomin but it’s definitely the place for little kids. About 80% of the place was filled with young children and parents. I ordered a set A from the lunch menu(chicken curry and rice) and also a moomin iced latte. The rice and drink is cute with the character design but overall, nothing really special about the food or coffee. I think I was just intrigued by the cute designs.

If you’re a fan of Moomin characters, you should check the café out located at the Ocean Terminal in Harbour City. This is a kid friendly place, so expect to see young, happy, jolly kids. I ordered the iced chocolate drink, Janssons potato and the coconut pineapple pudding that came with a free souvenir cup. I enjoyed the potato casserole, it came out hot. The pudding was okay and the iced chocolate drink was just nice. I was amazed that this café has a nice view of Hong Kong harbor. I didn’t like that I waited thirty minutes to get in. Two tables were occupied by Moomin stuff animals. The idea is to take pictures with them or of them. The service was good, cute place and average food.
