Coffee shops like this are becoming endangered species in this city due to the outrageous real estate market. The merely existence of this one is a miracle. Things they sell have not been changed for decades, that’s why it’s still a coffee shop and not a 茶餐廳 (license restriction too). Patrons are all from the neighborhood and most of them are elderly that have been going there for years.
They produce their limited choices of bread and sliced cakes themselves on the premises, coffee and milk tea are as good as other local tea houses. Breakfast menu is served all day and their rice dishes are served after 11am.
If you are opting for a piece of nostalgia and want to feel the past, this is the place. And better hurry up and pay a visit, it may not be around for very long.
