Great place for GDZ if you’re craving it in the Causeway Bay Area! Lots of different types of GDZ to choose from — original, chocolate chip, sesame, pork floss and sesame, sweet potato, green tea, green tea and red bean, coffee, chestnut, and lots more! I ordered the chocolate chip GDZ and it was crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside, which was perfect. The chocolate chips added a lot of extra sweetness — which I recommend sharing! Can’t wait to try the other flavors. :)

Part of the fun of a foodie experience is lining up, getting hungrier by the second watching the people at the front get their food. Waiting in line at Mammy Pancakes looking at the customers satisfied with their huge egg waffles was making me anticipate the egg waffles even more!
As for taste, they weren’t the best I’ve had. I found the egg waffle to be very doughy and got cold easily. It would be better if it were more crispy and flakey.
To their credit, they have the biggest selection of flavours I’d ever seen! Fancy green tea egg waffles, anyone?

THE BEST SERVICE EVVVEEEEERRRRR!!! Fanny has got to be the best and friendliest owner I’ve ever met. I regret not just coming here from day one. I’m getting ahead of myself. We got here Thursday night at 10:30 with a huge craving for bubble waffles (gai dan jai). Fanny says hi, we closed at 9:30, but that’s okay, I’ll get you guys some waffles, we only have sesame and chocolate left. Hook it up! so we order both and she goes: you know what, I got 4 of those lemon teas, here you go! As I’m chatting with her I mention how I haven’t had one of the waffles in years. She thinks for a sec and goes, ok, I’ll fire the grill up for you. Makes 2 new waffles for me… on the house. Wouldn’t even take my money (I really wish I could put that Futurama Meme here). Did I mention that she was suppose to close at 9:30? She stayed till 11:30 for us! Anyways, I only get to try 2 flavors and it’s really good sooo back the next day to try the PURPLE YAM and CHESTNUT flavours… and she saved one each for me! Great place to eat and great service and sooo good! The price is just the normal price everywhere else, but the taste and service is out of this world!

One of the best HK style pancake places to go for locals and visitors. Tried chocolate pancake before and it was awesome! This time i got the sesame pancake which tasted so good too. Love the crispy crust and soft & chewy inner. The homemade lemon drink is also my favourite item besides the pancakes.

Best Egg waffles in town. They closed in hung hom to open In Causeway Bay. They have 3 choices of egg waffles: original, chocolate and sesame ones. But they also have waffles and home made lemonade. Just go try it, it’s really good and only 15 dollars for the original one

I do enjoy a stack of good ol’ American pancakes, but the Hong Kong-​style ‘pancake’ is so much more interesting!
These pancakes are actually egg waffles cooked in a special egg waffle pan. Once they are finished cooking, you’ll be handed a pull-​apart treat that is slightly crispy on the outside and soft yet hollow on the inside.
The original flavor is sweet in a very simple way — the taste reminds me of funnel cake batter! Very cake-​y. But with an egg waffle, there’s no mess. Just tear off individual pockets of dough as you walk around the city!
Only 15 HKD for a truly delightful treat. Warning: these egg waffles are extremely addictive!

Haven st has become a food haven lately with the opening of Mammy Pancakes round the corner from Via Tokyo. I have tried quite a few HK style egg waffles in my time and I really love this one from Mammy. Their choc chip flavour isn’t too sweet but their original flavours are the best. Nice and crispy on the outside with soft pillowy filling on the inside. Yum

I know the food they offer might not be that special in the Hong Kong region. After all, this is Hong Kong style snacks. However, this place distinguishes itself from the other by offering tasty, make by the order, hot fresh «little eggs» and «squares pancake» (excuse my naming). They are so good that I wanted to go back and try again, and I am no sweet tooth.
Most often, street vendor might serve you «little eggs» that are empty in the core. However, this restaurant serves you with consistent quality where even the core is filled.
When you reach Haven street, you would notice the street filled with great variety of yummy food vendor. Among all, this vendor stood out due to the crowd gathered outside waiting for freshly made food. Mind it that there is no seating area, and this place is not for that purpose. Do you want good food or a place to seat? If you need a seat, there is a Belgian waffle place around the corner that serve inferior food.
However, it is not just the food that is of high quality, the service is very attentive too. You pay and get a ticket. Using the ticket you may pick up the food. What amazed me is that the cashier remembered me whenever I walk near to look, and there were lot of customers.
This place amazed me. If you are a tourist, you should try this Hong Kong style food vendor. If you are local, you should come to support it. And the food is very affordable. $ 16 for a waffle that has 400 calories worth of energy and it tastes amazing!
