Honeymoon Dessert

I wish I could bring this whole dessert place back home. I always make sure i visit this place more than once when I come to Hong kong. My favorite dessert shop. I always order durian dessert but once in a while I would try Mango sago or the tofu pudding. They are all equally good. I can’t get enough.

This is like Mango Mango in NYC but with more traditional Chinese desserts. I love their durian pancake, it brings out all the good things I love about durian (the sweet taste and smooth texture) and the smell is minimized (contained in the thin green pancake layer). The whip cream goes really well with the durian and adds a nice fluffy texture. The dessert came in 2 pieces and the fork pierced through the top a lot easier than expected.

Every time that I go back to HK for vacation, I always find myself eating lots and lots of desserts. I mean desserts shops are everywhere, how can i not indulge.
Well, this particular honeymoon dessert is located at Langham Place in Mong Kok. They have different types of desserts, and the best part-there’s English on the menu! On my last day in HK, i literally ordered 6 items, and everything was delicious. I had the mango pamelo sago, mango pancakes, tofu pudding with mango sauce and green tea ice cream, tong yuan, durian pancakes, and the sweet potato ginger soup. Yep! Will definitely be coming back for more!

It’s not difficult to come by a Honeymoon Dessert in Hong Kong — they’re all over the place in Kowloon, HK Island, and the New Territories!
For the indecisive, Honeymoon’s extensive menu consisting of both Westernized sweet desserts and more traditional, less-​sweet Cantonese style desserts may be overwhelming to look through. Desserts include fruity drinks, sago, puddings, stuffed pillow puffs, hot and cold varieties… the list goes on. Portion sizes are decent and can be shared easily between two people. But it’s best to eat here in medium to large groups so there are plenty of desserts to go around and try.
I tried the fresh mango and Thai glutinous black rice over vanilla sauce for my first night in Hong Kong. The vanilla sauce was more like a vanilla flavored slushy/​cream blend; the flavor was very distinct and it was very refreshing. The fresh mango was ripe and juicy, but the glutinous rice was a bit too chewy and dense to my liking. On another night, I tried the grass jelly with ice cream over vanilla sauce. The grass jelly was firm, gelatinous, and mildly herbal, and the two scoops of different flavored ice cream provided enough variety in the dessert.
Lines are very long in the evening after dinner, around 7 to 8pm. However service is quick so you’ll be seated in no time. Honeymoon Dessert is THE place to satisfy your sweet tooth in Hong Kong.

Located on the 4^th floor of Langham Place, this is apparently a favorite dessert place for both tourists and locals. I, however, didn’t like anything.
A bunch of us were tired from arriving to HK that day. We walked around and had a big dinner so most of us just wanted to sit and drink something. The place is packed since it’s located in a mall and it’s kind of hard to order something when I can’t read the language and the pictures don’t do justice :(
We might have all just ordered the wrong thing… So until next time, this place gets 3 stars in my book

If you don’t come to Honeymoon for dessert, you haven’t been to Hong Kong. This place is the most well-​known dessert chain here with 14 branches!
My all time favorite is the Mango in Vanilla Sauce with Thai Black Glutinous Rice! I’m all for trying new things but whenever I come here, I just can’t resist this. The black glutinous rice is chewy and sticky and when served with vanilla and mango, makes for a seriously addictive dessert. Their Mango Pomelo Sago consists of mango, grapefruit, sago and coconut milk and is a VERY close second for me. Sweet and refreshing deliciousness. it’s a classic HK dessert and also one of Honeymoon’s best-​sellers! Note: They also offer an assortment of hot desserts so everyone should be able to find something that suits their taste.
Only down side is that this place gets quite packed, especially after dinner hours, so service can be slow. Might take a bit of effort to get the attention of the waiters when they’re busy. it also gets loud when the place is packed.
Overall a great dessert place! If you’re in HK as you read this, there’s probably one not far from you… what are you waiting for?

Why don’t they have this in NYC? :(
I ordered the durian pancakes (durian, cream, mochi) and durian with green tea ice cream. Amazing! My mom was impressed as well (she’s like, «how do you find these places?!»).

I was glad to have visited this place (several times) while I was in HK. The menu book was filled with many deliciously looking desserts. They even had a whole page specifically for DURIAN. I tried almost all durian items on there and they were all delicious! Other choices are also great as well.
There are several locations throughout HK thus a must visit when you’re in HK.

Absolutely great! Stopped by for a quick dessert, and have no regrets. I ordered the «Grass Jelly with ice cream in Vanilla Sauce.»
It was the perfect combination of sweet and creamy. The grass jelly on its own didn’t really have a outstanding flavor to it, but when eaten with the ice cream and sauce, YUM! There was also a slice of strawberry too next to the scoop of vanilla and matcha ice cream.

Absolutely love this place. Had it my first time in Shanghai several years ago and wished it was in the states. So happy that it wasn’t too far from where I was staying in HK. I always get the durian dessert with coconut ice. So freaking good. Must try. I also got their durian rolls which is packed with durian. Yummmm. Took my parents here who aren’t really big on desserts and they loved it too.

we sampled a few things from the menu and topped it up with a scoop of green tea ice cream each. yum yum yum! it’s in a high rise mall as many things tend to be in Asia. worth the trip inside and upstairs. treat yourself.

Looooove this place! 我喜欢满记甜品!!! This is my «go to» place for Asian style desserts in HK! There are a few chains in HK but I always go to the one in Langham because of its proximity to my hotel. It’s always crowded whenever I go so I end up ordering take away most of the time. I love the mango crêpe, 很好吃！Highly recommended!
