I had the pleasure of catching their lunch buffet, which was full of fresh seafood! The highlight of the show was definitely the lobster, and there were several varieties of them too. Additionally, there was crab, shrimp, sashimi, sushi, smoked salmon, other cold cuts, and so much more. Their dessert selection was also very good. I loved that they had the ice cream teppanyaki. All in all, if you’re looking for a fresh buffet that has a wide selection this one is definitely a heavy contender.

We popped in kind of late night for a bite after an event at the Asia Society Hong Kong across the street. It is easy to walk across the street and get to. The Garden Café is located one floor below the main lobby and reachable by stairs or elevator. This place is casual, comfortable, easy. Prices are expensive and what you would expect to find in a large, urban, upscale hotel setting($ 650HKD for two entrees, one glass of wine and a one tea). The a la carte menu was varied with a wide range of options. Service was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Nothing really exceptionally noteworthy, nothing culinarily swinging for the bleachers in uniqueness. Our food was fresh and it was good. I think my experience was exactly what I was expecting. Although we could not see the pool nor city view so much because it was the evening, the room itself was large, tall ceilinged, open and felt spacious. It is a hotel setting designed for accomodate many people. So despite my 3 rating, no surprises here on food or ambiance. And although we were not starving at 9PM to venture outside the standard menu, it is noted that they do have an amazing looking buffet that they offer at this restaurant. I think it might be the main food seller really. It really looked quite exceptional with so much seafood, BBQ station, sushi, salads, sliced meats, etc. I posted a few photos. At 9PM, it looked as tended to by the staff as I am sure it does at 6PM when it might be more busy. I believe it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner(probably different prices, probably different food options at each meal). The buffet looked so tempting, we have decided to return on an evening when we are hungry. It too is pricey(I think $ 600HKD+ per person for dinner buffet), but having seen first hand, it might be a good gamble.

Came here on a Sunday evening and dinner buffet starts at 6pm and there is also an outdoor BBQ with barbecued foods(beef, chicken, pork, lamb, chicken sausage, shrimp). For the BBQ, the food is made to order when there is no one else waiting. Otherwise, there are some items that the cook has barbecued in case there is a line. I enjoyed the spread of food available. There were a lot of seafood options — steamed mussels, raw mussels, shrimp, crab, crab legs, and assorted sashimi, and nigiri. There was also a variety of salad options. There was also roast beef and ham that is carved on the spot. The cooked food section included Chinese food, BBQ Chinese meats such as BBQ pork and steamed chicken. There was also tandoori wraps that you can request. For desserts, there is a chocolate fountain, fresh fruits, tarts, cakes, and ice cream that can be mixed with selected ingredients that you choose. It was nice that there weren’t lines for anything as the place was only about half-full on a Sunday evening. They also offered each of us a abalone that was brought to your table after you are about halfway through eating that is complimentary for the buffet. I’m not sure if this is done daily or if the complimentary item varies. Buffet also comes with a coffee or tea. You may also select to get wine for $ 50 – 60 per glass, but it is about $ 128(?) for all-you-can drink. This is a good buffet that I would recommend, but be prepared to be super-stuffed!
